So sorry for your loss. I had my dog put to sleep last Friday, and every day I
think about him, wherever I go in the house, I see him around. So very

I think the shock of losing them suddenly like that is even harder than if they are ill or old, and it will take a long time to begin to heal your very sad heart. Many of us have gone thru it, and can feel your pain.

I have not been on the site due to extremely busy times and tons of family drama. Things are settling down now. I am still crying every day, hard sobs for her. I miss her so much. My friend, her breeder, has convinced me that getting another one would help ease the missing and pain. She has told me she will breed Athena's mother and give me a lil girl from her, so around christmas or so we should have a new baby girl. though it can never take Athena's place, perhaps everyone is right and it may keep me from breaking down at night when i'm alone since Thomas works nights. I have a 6 mo old Malamute/lab mix we recused, and though I love Nyx so much, Athena left a huge hole in my life, and heart. The little ones are so much different than the big ones. She is very much missed. I had her cremated, and have her a beautiful urn that I am putting in a shadow box with her fav things to put on the wall with some of my fav photos of her printed out and framed as well. Thank you to everyone. My love and thoughts to all of you...

I am so sorry for your loss. Yes I am still looking for her everywhere I go.. I swear I hear her bark now and then wanting to play or be let out. Just yesterday I was laying on the floor watching tv with the kids, looked over and was right where she laid down and passed away. Before I knew it, I was petting the carpet where she was laying and crying until all my tears were gone and only dry sobs were coming. I will keep you in my thoughts. and send my love

Thanks for your message. Every time I feed the other dogs I keep thinking Sassy is
there waiting for food too. At night I still look toward the edge of the bed where he
always slept and think I can see him sound asleep. I sure hope there is a Rainbow
Bridge. Got loves animals too.

Thank you so much. I'm still a wreck. My vet, my breeder,and many others told me to get a new puppy. The kids will be going back to school soon, and i will be in the house alone,and it will be difficult. so my friend and breeder sent me an email telling me she had a lil girl that needed a special mommy to care for her a she was the runt and going to be tiny like Athena. So I will be getting her in three weeks or so depending on how she is doing and if and when she is ready. Though I miss my girl Athena. I still sit and weep when I see her photos on the wall or one of her comes up on the digital frame. I love her with my soul, and my soul still feels empty. Thank you all so very much. My love to all of you that have lost your fur babies.

This new baby will not replace your Athena but she will help begin to fill the very deep hole that has been left in your heart by her passing. I still miss Bunkey (passed 3-9-2011) but Mina is such a joy and has helped my heart heal. I even tell Mina about Bunkey.

I am hoping you are correct. I miss her so much. She was always there. Regardless what I was doing, she was with me. I look forward to getting Venus, I've started purchasing things for her and the materials to make her some toys. Thinking it will give me a going forward outlook from here. I will be on Yorkietalk more now that the kids are a lil older and in school and I"m not working as much as I was before. I have so missed my Yorkie Yackers!
