it has been some time since I was active here. But I knew you would all understand my heartbreak. Monday night my baby, my heart passed away. She was in good health but suffered a stroke and passed. She just turned four years of age. But she was a runt, a tiny 2.5 lb baby girl of pure joy and full of life. I will forever be broken over the loss of my baby girl. RIP Athena.. I miss you so much.

Will the pain be better? I feel I can't function with out crying, and everyone else keeps giving me this, she was just a pet, look.

I'm so very sorry for your loss of your sweet baby. It will take time for your heart to heal. But just remember she will always be in your heart.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Please try to ignore people that say she was just a pet. We know better than that. We know she was your baby, a member of the family and so much more. Rest in Peace, sweet Athena.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your little Athena was a beautiful little girl and not just a pet, she was your baby. I hope in time you can look at her pictures and think of her and remember the love you shared. I know that is hard right and it is right that you grieve for you little girl. RIP Athena

Thank you to all. It has been horrible. I can't stop cluching her favorite toy and crying until I have no tears left to spill. I am so lost with out her, she went everywhere with me, and was always by my side. Thank you so much

I am so sorry for your loss. She was obviously not just a "pet",but your tiny little girl. Time will begin to heal your heart but that does not mean that she wont be there,she will. Our sweet furbabies take a part of our heart that noone else can have and when they leave us suddenly,it feels like a piece of our heart has been torn out.
Go ahead and cry,dont let anyone tell you that it isn't ok. I lost Bunkey suddenly last spring and I STILL miss him,but now I am able to think of the fun things that we did together,instead of how he left so quickly.

I am so sorry for the loss of your darling Athena. She was far too young but in time your memories of her will get you through.

Athena was not a pet she was your fur baby child. I am so sorry for your loss and especially losing her to a young age. Think of the wonderful home you gave her and all the great memories. I lost my dear Keally 1-26-10 and I think of her everyday. I still cry for her and when I am alone I still talk to her hoping she is looking down at me. It never is easy to lose them but I did move on and got another bundle of joy. I call her an angel from heaven. Some people do not understand our feelings towards our pets but it is the way it is. You and I love our babies and will never stop loving them. You take care of and take a day at a time. RIP Athena and give my Keally a hug over the Rainbow Bridge. Susan

How painful and much too soon to have your baby taken back to heaven. I know it doesn't stop all the hurt to say this, but she is running happy and free with all the other little animals in heaven and I'm sure my 2 pound Chihuahua, Delsi, (who also died of a stroke) is running with her.
