| My heart goes out to you!!! I couldn't read your whole post because it has only been 2 months since we put our other yorkie to sleep, but I got the jist of the post, and my heart really goes out to you. I know how you feel. You gave your dog a great life and knew when it was time to let go. That is why we have to love them every minute then when they are gone we can be at peace knowing that were happy!!! |

| Oh Lou I'm so sorry for your loss. I've never lost a pet because Jamie is my first but the idea of not having him with me is just devestating. I can only imagine how hard this is for you.

| So very sorry for your loss...i have had to make that most difficult decision myself, 4 times in fact. It never gets any easier, even though you know it is the right one. God Bless you for helping him get to Rainbow Bridge...R.I.P. Ivan

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh Lou . I am so, so sorry! I know how very dear he was to you, and this is just heartbreaking. No matter what, it is so hard to let go. And the pain can be so consuming and the emotions so confusing. When you can, remember the beautiful life you gave him as a treasured, cherished, spoiled, and glorious fur baby - you gave him that gift. You gave him the best life he could have imagined. RIP dear, sweet Ivan. Gigantic hugs to you, my friend.

| We have put down 1 5lb. yorkie, 5Silky Terriers and 1 Scottie, we had them all cremated and they are on a table in our t,v, room where they spent everynight curled up watching tv with us. We held them while they were going to sleep and stayed holding them for a good while afterwards,it is the hardest thing anyone has to do,even my Husband cried, we could have filled a tub with our tears in the vets office. They have a certain room they usually put the dogs down in. When I got my April they called me to go into that room for her 1st checkup,I said no I couldn't go in there, they all undrstood. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that pain and it can be so suffocating at times but you have the peace of knowing that he is no longer in pain. It's never easy.....

| So sorry for the loss of your Ivan. Even though we know it's the right decision for them, it doesn't make it any easier to do it. We had to say goodbye to our sweet Leia in January 2008 and I still miss her. My husband and I both laid down on the floor with her at the vet and talked to her and held her as she went to the Rainbow Bridge. I like to think that she's up there playing and having fun like she did as a pup, before all the health issues. I'm sure she and Ivan have become fast friends. Hugs to you. |

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Lou, I am so sorry for your loss of gentle Ivan. It sounds like he was an awesome friend to have around for you and your other fur kids and I know he will be missed. As you watch the video you spoke of, remember him as he was and how much he loved you. Hugs to you for the pain you are going through.

| I am sort of new to this forum, and have mainly only posted pics. But your post really struck a chord in me bc I will soon have to be making that very painful decision for our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. She was badly abused when we got her and through a whole lot of tlc loved her through her insecurities, frae, and misunderstanding about us of the human kind. She has now been with us for 10 years and is 11 years old. Bc her abusers broke her hip one night while beating her with a brush and never had it treated correctly she suffers horribly from arthitis in her back end. In the summers she fairs very well, but the hard Illinois winters are getting to be more than she can handle. So sadly she will probably be leaving us this year and her 2 kitty friends that lived with us for many years at the Rainbow Bridge. My heart goes out to you, as I still can't fathom making the call to set up the appointment...let alone actually doing it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
