Ahh, precious Minnie...may God bless her tiny soul. Thanks for sharing your memories of Minnie with us. Go to her grave site and make tiny snow angels...leave a message to her in the snow. This is what I do for Spencer's grave. She knows how much you love her and miss her, and she loves you and misses you too!

It is hard to simply clean up once our babies leave us. I totally understand how cleaning the nose prints from the window or picking up outside is so hard to do because if we do those things, it seems like we won't have them with us anymore. My 15 year old son won't let me wash Cloe's blanket either because it smells like her. My husband came home from work and found him resting on her blanket smelling it. I just printed the first photo of him and Cloe at Christmas 2000 and his later photo with her on 1/26/09 and he has them in his room. They had that special bond. The special bond we all have with our babies will always stay with us as long as we can hang onto those special things of theirs. Don't wash Minnie's blanket, simply keep it in that special place she always like to hang out. Cloe's is on the corner of the couch she spent most of her napping moments. That's a place we can always go when we need her comforting even though she may not be there in body, we know she'll always be here in spirit. Pulling pictures together, setting up a special place for her favorite toys, etc. has been helping us a lot, and having YorkieTalk.com has been my savior. Hang in there

there are three little turds laying under my porch swing on the back deck. Minnie hated pooping in the snow. every time I take Mickey out to potty I see those 3 little turds. I cant make myself pick them up or even sweep them off the porch. and I hate that thers now 5-6 in of snow over her grave.

I commiserate with you, my sister rescued a Golden Retriever off the streets last year. She had a mast cell tumor on her lung, and they put her through Chemo, and she didn't respond; it was too far spread, but the day she Crossed the Bridge, she was wagging her tail, and went for a last walk, and it was nearly impossible to believe she was dying. To this day, my sister struggles with the fact that a seemingly healthy dog, died so quickly.

Cherish those last pictures of Minne, for they are very precious.

My Newman also had a mast cell tumor. His was rare - on his foot pad. Our vet with over 30 yrs. experience and one of the best had never seen it in that area before. He even contacted the University of PA. We had it removed and it came back stage III. They gave him a year but less then two months later it came back aggressively and so we were going to remove his leg but it spread to his liver. All that quick and like Minnie and like your dog you would have never known he was dying. I've read animals hide their illnesses. It's instinctive from way back - so that their enemies or preditors don't take advantage. Anyway YorkieShadow again I am so very sorry.

I am so sorry about precious Minnie. I understand how you feel. It will be a year tomorrow since I lost my baby Gizmo. I still have not washed his blankets or his stuffed
toy blue. I have them in the top of my closet, and get them out very often, hold them, smell them, and cry because I miss by baby so very much.

Oh, it is so hard to remove those last moments. Harley died in my arms and I was petting both DJ and Annie when they all died last year. DJ's last apple was in the fridge for over a month. Their urns are all by the computer as I type this and they all get pets at least twice a week. Yes, I'm a guy, but I can still get choked up when I think of our kids.

Debbie, every time I read your posts I just tear up for you.....Your post on her poo made me smile, I understand where your coming from.....I still have Joey's dragonfly barrette on the dresser next to my bed and it's been 7 months......It's bittersweet looking at it but it's all I have left.......

Yeah I took Mickey out and noticed the poo was gone, I asked hubby where it went. he said he got rid of it cause Mickey kept going out to smell it and didnt want him doing that. so its now gone.

I thank you for sharing with us such precious memories and thoughts. I really can feel for you and all the things you mention. I've never lost a yorkie but i have lost pets that were close to my heart. I wish you the best and just take one day at a time. wishing you healing that only God can give. I'm so sorry for your loss.
