| I am so sorry for your loss. What a tra gedy. I lost my Gracie Leigh August 1, 2008 to an attack by another dog. It was like being in a nightmare. I tried so hard to get her away from him. I actually got her away 3 times and laid over her so that he couldn't get to her, but he did and she died. At least she went with my hands holding her. I kept screaming for help, and just got my voice back. People came, but they were afraid to go near the other dog. I have little Annie Leigh now, along with Max, my 2 1/2 year old Yorkie. I got her right away because that made me feel better. I love her with all of my heart and nurturing a puppy is a joyful thing, but not an hour goes by without me thinking about my Gracie Leigh. I just let myself feel what I feel. I think the only way to grieve is to allow yourself your feelings, no matter how painful. I will keep you in my prayers as well as all of you who posted about your losses. It has been helpful for me to lean on my family. My grandchildren saw the whole thing, and my daughter and son-in-law are heartbroken also. We buried Gracie on their land with a small bible, a cross, and rosary beads. I just ordered a memorial bench which we will place over her grave. We had a funeral for her together and my grandchildren pray or say hello to her whenever they think of it. We talk about our grief and how cute she was and how sweet and how sad we are freely. I could not have done it without them. My prayers to you.

My heart just breaks for you. I hope your little Annie Leigh brings you lots of happiness. I have a new little baby too named Honey. |

| Thank you for your kind words. I miss him so terribly. I also have a lot of guilt of maybe doing too much to save him. He was only 6 and he wasn't ready to go though. If I had to do it over again I still don't know what I would do differently. I can't wait to one day hold him again. Something weird happened today. I won a silent auction for a canvas portrait from SAY yorkie rescue that I had done of him that is in my living room. No one else was home but me. I was in my living room looking at his new urn that I ordered and daydreaming about him. All of a sudden his portrait just comes off the wall for no reason. It is in there very secure and the nails stayed in so I don't know how it could have done that. I am hoping that it was him telling me he is ok. |

| what ever i have to do I think healing takes it own road .. I know from loosing my sweet Kissy crissy face and Nemo in the koi pond first off we ripped out the pond and worked on some primal screaming but then i planted some dwarf fruit trees and have a memorial placed there with a bench and a statues .. and i talk to both of them .. today is the 3 year Anv. of my dads plane going missing in Alaska .. on the plane was my dad his twin brother and two good friends .. and I have found when you are faced with the pain of loosing someone you love it dosnt matter if one has fur and 4 legs or two legs loss hurts.. I am sorry for all of your losses
