RIP My Sweet Jezebel

My heart is just broken for you. How incredibly hard. The vets scare me - even though I love mine. With these tiny babies, it's just different - praying your heart is beginning to heal

Jezebel knew how much you loved her, I am sure of that

i literally felt my throat knot up just now and my eyes are watery.... i am so sorry for your loss.... i cant imagine what i would do without my little girl and ive only had her for 6 mths.... once again, so sorry to hear about ur little girl (jezzabel has been my nickname from my mom since i was a little girl, lol.... she just loves the name, she swears its nothing personal ) im sure ur little one is looking down on you now.... waiting to reunite, shes in God's hands now and feels no more pain

Even though I knew the story of sweet Jezebel your post brought tears to my eyes. I know how badly it hurts to lose your best friend Bless your heart, I wish I could help ease the pain.

Awww Sweetie, I am just reading this. I am so sorry that you lost your sweet Jezebel. It is so hard to get over the pain. I don't think I am over the pain of losing my sweet Cairn Terrier Ginger and it has been 6 years. Bless your heart.

i totally understand what your going through, i just lost mine to internal bleeding in august. he was only 1 though. it feels like the end of your world. and replacement is the worst word someone can use in a situation like this. my fiance decided to 'replace' my little beagan with a new pup. she's a doll but we just do not click. my condolences to you.

Don't feel down You need to remember all of the good with a smile. It will continue to get easier to remember with a smile as time passes.

Jezebel was a fiesty 2 1/2 lb female yorkie. She was 3 yrs old, and was my partner in crime. Her and I had a business at the local mall selling doggie clothes. She went with me 7 days a week, with no complaints. She would sit in her little carrier and keep me company all those long days. Our bathroom breaks were extra fun for her. I would take her into the family bathroom and let her run crazy. Finally around 9 pm when the mall would close, we would pack up and go home and do it all over again the next morning.

My breeder had called me and asked if I wanted Jezebel's nephew who had just turned 20 weeks. I went and seen him and fell in love, his name is Royal.
Well, worried that they could have puppies, I decided to get them fixed. I did Royal first, he did just fine. Next was Jezebel. My baby did not do just fine. Two days after her surgery she was hurting very badly and trying to go potty, but nothing was happening. I took her back to the vet, and he said that sometimes with the little ones like this, its easy to irritate there insides, gave me some medicine and sent us home. 5 days later she was bleeding from down there, my vet was closed, so I took her to emergency. They blamed it on food I fed her or something insane like that, gave me medicine, said she would be a lot better in the morning.
Morning never came for her. As she cried in agony all night, my husband and I believed the vet and thought it was a belly ache. We didn't know, we thought she was going to be okay. She bled to death on June 22, 2008 due to a cut artery from her surgery. Waking up and feeling her, and realizing shes gone to heaven, I cant begin to tell anyone here the pain that I felt, the hurt that wont go away. For the first time in my life I really thought about driving head on into traffic, I really am not sure what stopped me. The vet has since fessed up and wants to replace my baby. Its hard, especially when the word replacement is said.
Jezebel is never coming home, I realize that. Sometimes I cant help but think shes at the groomer, and I need to go get her soon. Its God way of helping me cope and get through this.
You will never be forgotten baby.

Bless your heart. I am crying with you. Sometimes things just happen even when we're doing our very best. I know the helpless feeling and wishing and wishing there were more we could do. I hope your happy memories of Jezebel will help heal your broken heart. May God bless and send you comfort.

How horrible. I'm so sorry for the loss of your little baby. There really is nothing that can help with the pain but time itself.... and even that isn't quick.

It sounds like you have some pretty special memories of her ~ hang on to those.

No, she can never be replaced, but I would definitely take compensation from the vet. If you are not quite ready for another little girl, ask your vet if they can hold off a while till you are ready.

I know I shouldn't come to this bit of the forum. Your little Jezebel sounded priceless, and so sad she had to leave you like that, stupid vets. She is at peace now though and will never get old but in your heart will always be a little puppy. Bless you I hope your pain is easing...xx

eyes still watery here. My Tilly is curled on my lap as I use the computer, my hubby is asleep on the sofa and she loves waking him up not a good idea. She smells so sweet, just had to have her bottom wiped with baby wipes, she has no patience when going to the bathroom and invariably gets in a mess....sorry too much info.....xx
