| Buddy Needs a Vet in Iowa I posted this outside the regional forum also but here is the situation. Our vet bought a clinic a couple hours away so we need a new vet, I hoping for a recommendation for a vet in the Spencer/Storm Lake Iowa area if anyone else is from this neck of the woods. Thanks

| I used to live in Council Bluffs, IA and I could have refered you to a good one there but you're too far away from there. Sorry... Can you look to see if there's a Yorkie Dog Club there? You might have one and could call any member to ask who they use. Also, if you call any Vets office just ask if anyone there specializes in toy breeds. Hope this helps

| I'm in Central Iowa - but my vet does a lot of teaching around the state and the world, and he used to live hmmm some small town in Iowa, I can't remember where. He is an absolute dream come true -- I would suggest you call him and ask if he knows someone. His name is Dr. Gary Van Engelenburg - Dr. Van for short 515-274-3811 or drvan@apvet.com Here's his website Iowa Veterinary Acupuncture Clinic - Helping cats and dogs live better lives through acupuncture in Des Moines -- he also has links on there if your interested in finding a holistic or acupuncture vet. He was a traditional vet for yrs and a skeptic about alternative med - but I'm thankful for him. He saved my male Bichon's life after a paralyzing stroke. Andre got up and walked again after acupuncture and herbs
