| Has anyone here ever heard of puppystars.com They are located in Centerville, Iowa. I don't believe that they are a puupy mill however I do believe that they broker puppies out to pet stores. Some of the red flags are: They are USDA licensed, they spelled "Yorkshire" as "Yorksire", They breed many small breeds of dogs, and I asked for pictures of the Dam and Sire and the lady emailed me a picture of a male yorkshire terrier. Which is ok but she told me that she didn't have a picture of the female down loaded yet. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada so there is no way to go there. How do you find out about this USDA license? Where would I go to see how many dogs there are? I am so glad that I found Yorkietalk.com so I know what to look for and what to ask when selecting a quality puppy. I don't any heartbreak and expensive vet bills. Thanks for helping me out here.

| Never Mind Friends Never mind friends about this post. I told Jamie Tracy today that I keep golden retrievers in my home. They are not Pit Bulls or German Shepherds. They are one of the gentlest dogs on the planet. My husband and I have big hearts and spoil them to death. We even adopted our Buddy from a rescue group locally. But back to my original reason for typing this, I asked alot of questions about the health of the Dam and Sire and the puppy she was getting ready to ship me today. I asked her why she was USDA licensed and if she sells to pet stores. I asked about the pedigrees, references, litters and what test have they been tested for. She wrote me back that because I have big dogs that she doesn't sell to homes with big dogs. To me it seems like she just didn't want to answer my questions or she didn't have the answers to them at all. She could say whatever she wants but she didn't even send a picture of the mother of the pup that she wanted to sell. She said she would put it on her computer when she has time. Oh well, that's her perogative. I am sure we will make wonderful yorkie parents to another pup. I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have posted and recommended their breeders on here. I have been researching out for the past couple of weeks on what to ask and how to go about talking to a breeder.

| goldenmiles hi Wow! when i read your letter it kinda of reminds me of what happened to me I asked about a pics of the puppy she was going to send me. she got mad and now that puppy is on her site for asking price $3000.00 and it looks northing like the one i got. she is suppose to replace him for me but am having trouble now. I like to find all the people that think that just because we don't want to fly or travel there doesn't mean we can't get resolution to all the bad breeder out there. so beware bad breeders we are here to stop what you are not suppose to do! Is hurt the puppy's that are sick or not sick .little guys that cry out" and you leave it to us too take over, what you should not be doing in the first place . We want to business but we wont be taken from you .for a dog or puppy that is "sick or try to keep up it's health problems that you knew about in the Frist place. so good advice to all breeders double check i know we get in a hurry and want that puppy! but it's not worth a sick one. just ask me i know . Love-in care of little tazzybear.

| They have too many breeds.. doesn't look like a serious to me. The pups look really cute...that's for sure. But I would look for an other breeder if I was you. |

| Personally if they have more than 2-3 different breeds it makes me uncomfortable. Mostly because it is obviously more of a business than a passion.
