Hi Jessica!
Wow! Thank You Lisa for pointing me in this direction! Oh, I'd love to get the two little sisters together This is exciting. I also picked Abby up on March 28th. That day is deeping engrained in my brain.

Chanel is only 2lbs 2 oz.? Wow! What a tiny tot. Abby is close to 3 lbs now.
I hope when we have our get together, you can come so Abby and Chanel can meet and play.

I remember little red bow girl. I was so in love with her. I can't wait to get to your profile and see her pictures

Thank You for letting me know that you and little Chanel are here!

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that we are in Evansville. I have several pictures of Abby in my profile album.

Abby went swimming for the first time on Sunday! She swam like a little fish

Is Chanel's coat super thick? Abby's is, but I guess maybe all puppies are. I have a hard time keeping Abby's brushed.

I'm eager to see more pictures of Chanel I'm just excited!!

Abby has a big sister, Daisy. Daisy came to live with us 9 days after Abby came home. She was rehomed from a family who couldn't keep her. We feel doubly blessed.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day. We went to my husband's family party. I was so jealous because there were 4 small dogs at the party and I did not bring Piccolo. I did have a great time sitting on the floor and playing with all of the puppies. She will be "dressed to the nines," and attending next year, that is for sure!

Awww Lisa, I would have been upset too. I bet next year Piccolo will be the prettiest puppy girl at the party!

I saw in an earlier post of yours that you were thinking about getting her. I just felt horrible because of how sad you were. But please be happy to know that she is well taken care of, and my husband and I love her so very very much. She is our little baby and is spoiled rotten! And just think...we're not really that far and could get together! So you'll be able to see her grow up. I'll be putting more pics on here shortly! I wish I could upload more than three at a time! I have tons! It's so hard to not take a picture every time they do something cute!

Her coat is VERY thick. We brush her everyday for about 30-45 minutes. The last time she went to the groomer, she was not a happy camper and she suggested grooming her with treats and praise so that she wouldn't be so ticked off when the brush came up to her. I did brush her about every three days, but when she was sleeping...because she gave me the same problem. But she's gotten better now! I find the worst part is on her feet and legs...in just a day she seems to get mats. And I wasn't happy the last time I took her in because we've been working to grow out her hair and the groomer (who had never trimmed Chanel before) shaved all the hair off of the top and some of the sides of her nose! I was so upset. I think that Chanel was too! LOL!

Oh BTW, did you see my post about the hernia? I replied to your post and just had some questions.

I am so happy to find you on here!

UPDATE: ok so the vet told us Bandit's cough is probably a bronchial infection....it could still be kennel cough but he cant be 100% sure. so he gave us some anti-biotic for him. And he said that stupid dog probably gave it to him since he was coughing too, and since he hasn't interacted with dogs other than that one. So I was right about that dog. I just knew this was going to happen....well $66 later my baby will be alright. I wouldnt have cared if it cost me $200....all that matters is he is ok and I am very grateful for that. But I still blame my family that knows nothing about puppies. Phew....anyways Thanks everyone for your kind words about me and thoughts for bandit it is appreciated deeply. you all are always here for me!!

Jeska8203: That is so cool that you have a Tootsie/Beau baby....We were looking at that litter before we waited for Bandit from Prue/Bear. I wonder if we are in the same bloodline somwhere down the line....how cool would that be. There is one more person on here, Kate that has Bandits brother....she's been quite busy lately though with moving and finals....so she has been MIA. she'll be back soon though i'm sure (I hope, I miss her lol). Anyways Welcome to Yorkie Talk, keep up with this thread because we will be planning a meetup in not too long for all of us to get together and meet!!

I am really looking forward to a meetup! That would be so much fun! I knew that the name "Bandit" sounded familiar to me. I thought that I had seen that name on one of the pictures from Tootsie's litter, but I guess it was from Prue's! I still love to look at her available puppies...they are just so cute! Who knows...maybe someday I'll get another one!

So sorry that Bandit is sick! I hope that the medication works well and he'll be good to go in no time! And don't worry...we when travel with Chanel...she has more bags than we do! I bring everything she has...just in case! And we started puppy kindergarten 4 weeks ago...and I'm the only person there that shows up with a diaper bag! I just want to make sure that I have puppy pads, nutri-cal, fresh water, food, treats, and I carry copies of all of her vaccination records in there too...along with toys! LOL! Maybe I'm crazy...but it makes me feel better.

So you saw that I was interested in little Miss Chanel at one time.
(You knew that was in addition to and not instead of Abby...right?)
I am very happy that Abby's sister has such a loving family! I hope all the puppies have a good home. I think if it were up to me, I would have taken the whole litter! Was the little boy from the litter still there when you picked up Chanel? My son fell in love with him and last night when I told him about Chanel (which he thought was way cool that we found each other) was wondering about the little boy. Also, Pink bow girl, who was just darling...was she there when you picked up Chanel? She had quite the little attitude! She cracked me up! I bet whoever got her has their hands full. Lynn said she would probably have to be in a one dog household.

I kept being drawn to Abby when looking at pictures because she had more dark on her face than the others. Although I had a terrible time making a decision. Ashley said she chose Bandit from his 3 week pictures and I was impressed! I just couldn't decide, but always inquired about the "darker little girl" Then Tony and I went to see the puppies when they were 4 weeks old and Tony picked the "darker little girl" right off the bat! So I figured it was serendipity! It was later that I decided I wanted a second baby, so they'd have a playmate. Seems fate had something in mind for us already. Lo and behold, Daisy came along And now we can have the best of both worlds! How great is that!

Abby's legs get tangles and mats on them too I hate it! It's really depressing since her coat is so beautiful! I just hate the thought of cutting her hair! I'm going to have to though. Not to mention, Tony and I took the girls for a walk yesterday and it took Abby way too long to cool off after the walk. I was a little worried about her, but she's fine now. So, in the long run, I think a haircut will be in her best interest. I wonder how a groomer will handle her though, since she hates even being combed or brushed. It really worries me.

OK, I'm rattling on and on....

Ashley, I'm glad to hear that Bandit is going to be OK. You take care and don't worry what others think about how you pamper your baby.

Ashley - I am so glad that Bandit is going to be okay. Are the antibiotics pills or in another form, like drops? Please keep us updated.

The anit-biotics are in pill form but he gave us a syringe to put them in and have them disolve in water....bandit takes it with no problems...I was shocked. OOOOH and I wanted to tell you all....since I found out that Nutro was such a bad dog food for Bandit we are in the switching process and we are going to Innova....Bandit gobbles it up!! I was so shocked with how much Bandit ate in one sitting, he never ate like that before. I'm so happy he likes it....Its more expensive but only the best for my baby. it was like $20 for 6lbs. which really isnt that bad when you think about how much we spend on food....he's cheap compared to us lol. Anyways bandit is doing good as of right now!! OOh and we made it the whole night with Bandit in his wee wee wrap!! He didnt get out of it!! I was sooo shocked....they are made to fit perfectly!! I am so grateful for them, it was fate for yougetthesmiles to have them on sale just at the right time!! So thank you so much yougetthesmiles!!

That's great on all counts, Ashley! I've put Abby and Daisy on Canidae and Nature's Variety. They get NV once a day and the Canidae the rest of the time. I do think foods like Innova, etc.. are so much better for them. They have human grade ingredients.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! No more pee pee spots in bed!

Yes yes. I knew that it was in addition to your baby girl! When I had asked to switch to the "red bow", I had no idea anyone else was looking to get her. I emailed Lynn the day she put up the pictures below...I couldn't resist that little face! She told me she was still available, so I switched.

I came to get her in the morning on March 28th. All the puppies were there. I got to pet all of them. I would have taken them all if I could have! LOL! She did say that someone was coming in to pick one little girl up after us. It must have been you! I felt so silly when we went there. We came from Greenwood (3 1/2 hours away) and I had NO CLUE that there was a time change! I didn't even think about it, I was REALLY excited to get Chanel. So we though we got there like 20 minutes early...but no...we got there an hour and 20 minutes early!!! I couldn't believe it! I FELT HORRIBLE! But the moment Lynn put her in my arms...I was so excited I forgot all about the time! Lynn showed me all of the puppies, they were all in a pile sleeping together! Before we left, we put Chanel back in there to go potty before we hit the road. She didn't potty, but went and cuddled right back up with all of them to say goodbye. It was the sweetest thing ever!!!!!!!

About the grooming. We took Chanel the day after we got her. We took her petsmart for a $15 puppy trim (includes bath, drying, massage, nail trim, ear trim, face trim, ear cleaning, and paw trim). She's been 5 times so far and is getting ready for her 6th time this week. We've never had the rest of her hair cut...I don't know if I want to yet. We might let it grow and see how it looks...then decide. Because she hates it so much, my groomer said to brush her everyday and get her used to it. She's a yorkie...she has to be groomed or shaved...and I prefer to just keep her groomed! So we're working on it daily. And she has gotten better. Just don't give up...or she wins...and she knows it! LOL!

Okay...now I'm just going on and on...LOL!

Tell Abby and Daisy that we said hello to them!

Chanel and Jessica
