| Ears??? Hi Everyone, I'm new to YT. I have a baby girl named Sadie. She is my first Yorkie. At about 8 weeks her ears stood up. I figured this is great. after about 2.5 -3 weeks they have fallen. Please tell me if this is normal. Thanks for all of the help! Jenny |

Hi and welcome to YT! Your Sadie is adorable From what I've read here their ears need to be clipped, the weight of the hair makes them flop. Teething can have an effect on them too. Also, some have stand up ears and some flop. My Gizmo's floppy thus far. | |

| It is perfectly normal. She could just be teething. They should stand up again when she's done.

| Yup, probably just the beginning of teething My Kalani's ears popped up and down and then one up and one down - I never knew what he was going to look like every morning when he woke up - LOL! I did keep the hair on his ears trimmed though, just to help them stand up a little easier. Some people tape them up - you can do a 'search' on here and find directions on how to do that.

| Great!! I think we are starting to hit the teething stage. my hair is feeling the worst of it. She crawls in it in the morning and chews away! her hair is also starting to really grow too. Thanks for the comforting advice. I really don't care if they stand up or if they are floppy either way she is adorable. I'm also wondering about size. At her 9 wk check up she was 1lb 4 oz. I don't think she has gained very much since. What is the "norm". ? (i really do hate the word "normal") |

| Aww, she's just adorable I love her name - that's my sister's name also. I would trim the hair on her ears and see if that doesn't help them stand up better. My Hoku has floppy ears and trimming didn't help but I tried anyway - LOL! As for the weight - I 'think' you multiply their 8 wk. weight by 3 or their 12 wk. weight by 2. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong

| She is adorable...I think you just need to get the tops of her ears trimmed and they will stand up.
