I have tried and tried to download a pic for you. There's some info in the admin thread about coats. This pic I have shows mommy and daddy and 2 pups, parents are both akc and look entirely differeny and so d the pups. I'll try again or maybe someone could help get it posted.

I wouldn't be too worried about what kind of dog she is. Just love her, she seems like a sweet little baby. If you would have paid a really high price or the standard yorkie price I could see being upset. But really you can barely get a mixed breed dog for $200 these days so either way you came out the winner since you got a sweet dog. She looks like she has some yorkie in her, and her her may grow but even if it doesn't I'm sure you'll love her anyway. Consider it the best $200 you ever spent

A friend got a male yorkie the same week I got Sassy- and he is this adorable ball of fur. We had discussed breeding our two Yorkies, but of course- since she is the only one that has a Yorkie, that is out of the question.

I am at a loss on what to do. I tried calling the breeder back a few days after we got Sassy- she just kept assuring me that the hair will come. She gave me some story about one of the puppies in the dads litter was exactly the same way and so was the dad.

Truthfully- it is not even completely about the money- it is about that my family wanted a Yorkie. Now we are not even sure what we ended up with.

While I can understand your frustratioin, your baby is really very cute. Now that you have her, just love her, because she is going to love you unconditionally, and deserves a loving caring home and family in return.

She is a cutie- and her personality is adorable. I still have twinges of course because all of the sudden I look around and see beautiful long haired Yorkies everywhere!

I have tried to call the breeder several times but I always get a voicemail. I guess we are just meant to keep her. With luck maybe her hair will grow out some. (It might be my imagination, but I swear every day she has more "stick up" and longer hair)!!!

Now our dilemma rests not in what kind of dog she is, but how in the world we housebreak her!!!!! We will put her out for 15-20 minutes and she STILL comes back in and pottys in the house! It is very frustrating!!

Definitely not. For me it's not a yorkie. Perhaps there is 10 or 20% yorkie in his gens but there is a lot of others breeds mixed.

I too don't believe she is a full blooded yorkie. But then again i could be wrong.

hmmm...I am certainly not an expert but definitely doesn't look full blooded yorkie to me--part Chihuahua maybe?

She looks a lot like a little male Yorkie/Chi mix that was recently advertised on www.petfinder.com.

I thought he was interesting looking so I kept the photographs of him.

No matter what your little fur-girl is, she is just darling, and remember what everyone who owns a Yorkie says...........you can never have just one!! She will need a sis to share her life with.

Is it possible that they just look like that when their hair is that short? Is it a birth defect. The body looks much like that of a Yorkie with super short hair IMO.
