Whatever she is, she has a beautiful eyes, kind eyes. She may not looks like yorkie but when she grow up, she may become more like yorkie!! I'm sorry that your breeder wasn't honest.

Honestly- it just would not have occured to me that someone would lie. Especially since her appearance would cause question to begin with. I am very disappointed in this woman. And yes- I am very upset that we are not going to get our long haired bow wearing puppy- I do love this dog- she is very sweet (even if she is being impossible to housebreak). I keep holding out hope that she is just going to sprout hair like the breeder told me! For now I guess I will consider her a Chorkie! Hopefully- you guys will still let me hang around here and admire all of your pretty babies! Crystal

I hope you stay with us. I'd love to see how she grows up.

Her hair may get longer. It might just grow real slow. I've attached pictures of my yorkie at 17 weeks and then a current picture of him today at about a year and a half. I've been told he is a red legged yorkie. I see a resemblence to your little Sasse. Dylan looked so pitiful as a puppy but turned out to be pretty cute. He also has the sweetest disposition of any dog I've ever had.

like i said before she looks 100% redleg yorkie to me its just a gene thing that doesnt make her a mix lets not jump to the conclusion that the breeder lied especially if you saw the dad and mom, and she seems willing to work with you

Ok- so here is a question for the people who are in the "she's a red leg" camp- when will her hair grow? Is she too big to be considered a yorkie? I know that standard is 6 pounds and under- if she is already 5 pounds at 16 weeks- she is going to be huge!! At what age do they generally get their full height and weight?

| she is cute...but not full blooded yorkie. if your daughter loves her thats all that matters...but you can have the breeder prove with dna testing....she didn't know what she was talking about or she was pulling a scam tricia

Yorkie standard is under 7lbs, there is also no way to know what she will do as far as growth goes. Even if she doesn't meet up to the standard as far as weight and coat goes that doesn't make her any less a yorkie then the next one. Why not look into getting another pup that fits what you were expecting as far as the Yorkie standards go, then you will be happy.. you will still have your pup that everyone has already fallen in love with and she will have a great companion/fur sister.
