Long story short:

She fell off the bed, some how. Her neck was bent back and she wouldn't move it. She had problems breathing and she would open her eye. She was drooling on my legs.. They didn't think she had a concussion but I could bring her back in tomorrow and check her out again. everything just happened so fast. I was cooking dinner at the time, my sister was fitching a fit, and I was on the phone with the ppl from the bank,.. i was just soo scared/frustrated/ and i don't remember half of it. Thanks. It wasn't just about a few weeks ago that she jumped out of my purse, and I didn't want ppl to think that I am a bad mom, she has never fallen off the bed b4 and now I know to watch her closely, you just have to learn, but I do wish that I could have prevented it. So please don't bash me and say I am a bad mom!

we know your not a bad mom! accidents happen. it just teaches us to be more careful next time. you did great and took her to the vet.

I went through something similar when Gizmo got into some rat poison I didn't even know we had in the house!

I felt like I could have/should have prevented that as well.

You got her to the vet quickly and that's what is most important.

Yes, it does teach us! You should have seen me driving to the vet, I don't know how I made it there w.o wrecking.. I was riding ppls butts.

Its a scary situation isn't it?? Thats why i coudlnt talk about it earlier, Plus there was a lady at the vet putting her dog down, and I just broke out into tears.. I have been very emotional today...

You know, I used to work in an emergency room. Some of the best parents were the ones whose babies had accidents like that. The baby was usually fine, but the parents were just so horribly wounded. Sounds just like you. My prayers are for both of you. You are not a bad mom, and no one would say so because the same thing could happen in any of our homes.

AWe, thanks. See when I got here there I swore that her neck was broke bc the way she was keeping it held. But the vet said nope. Then I asked if there was anything wrong with her legs, nope. Eyes? Yes she did have a scratch which I did get some meds for. I asked if any of her teeth were broke? Nope.. so nothing was wrong except for the eye which will heal easily, according to the vet it was a small scratch.

I am so sorry about her fall. Sounds like she will be ok. These things happen to all of us no matter how hard we try to protect them. One thing I did was but those little kitty condos by every bed and couch and a ramp by me bed and thye use them in stead of jumping. Hope that helps
