Lost my puppy Zoey today! Tragic Accident... and more bad things.

Oh my goodness girl. Im sooo sorry to hear all of this. I couldn't imagine. All I can say is that I had a rough go of it about 2 years ago where it felt like the world fell apart on me. Everything went wrong and everything was heartbreakinly difficult. During all the hard stuff I lost my 5 month old yorkie puppy tragically as well (he ingested rat poison). All I can say is lean on whoever is around and gather strength from those who you look up to, those who have been through tragedy and you'll see how strong you can be, and you'll come out a better person through it all. Its tough right now, but don't bury your head in the sand, or bury your emotions. Feel it all and the quickest and easiest way to get over pain and loss is to go through it and face it head on instead of going around it and not facing it. (((HUGS)))

Aaaaw Hon, I know how you feel. Years ago, I lost my tiny girl,Jeenee. She drowned in our swimming pool while I was at home. A visitor to my house had left the door open to the garden, and I did not even see it. I found Jeenee, tried desperately to save her, to no avail. That image of her haunted my every waking moment,even my sleep. I went through the same awful guilt you are feeling - how could I have let this happen to my most precious baby girl. But like your situation, you have to know that it was a tragic accident. I have watched your video of little Zoey, barking at herself in front of the mirror.... I could hear your voice in the background, and the love you had for this little dog is so very obvious. We try everything to love and nurture, protect them, but sadly some things are simply out of our control.
Don't bottle up you grief. If necessary, come here and vent as much as you need to. It helps. The members here totally understand and support you. You were NOT a bad Mommy. Your Zoey experienced so much love in her short life, and it came from you. I know it seems impossible now, but time will heal your grief. Please PM me any time if you need to.

First of all, you don't have to apologize for venting to us. Our arms are wide open to comfort you in these trying times. Pour out your pain for a lighter heart. You are not a bad or a terrible person and it was never your fault that she has to spread her angel wings at a young age. Accidents do happen since they are unforeseen. Many others struggle throughout their lifetimes for another chance in the past to show or say 'i love you' to their loved ones, who were taken away in such untimely manner. Zoey left with a heart full of the love you have given her. She was a happy joyful beautiful and precious sweetheart because of your constant love and care. There are those who lived their full lifetimes yet have not experienced love at all. You never failed in giving her a life full of meaning, of happiness and of love. Cry as much as you want to wash the pain and the hurt away and it will make you see clearly zoey's rainbow shining through the clouds to end your stormiest days...

I watched your video - the one with the mirror,the cat, her playing and the bath tub. She was a precious little girl. I understand horrible, sudden accidents. Slowly the bad images aren't as vivid and the good ones stay with you. My heart goes out to you.

I'm having a VERY difficult time right now. We just lost our 11 yr old dog suddenly to liver disease last week and i'm still grieving from that. I'm so heart broken and I'm so lost, we also lost a family friend this week to cancer. Its been the worst string of luck i've ever had. Oh My god, I am so so so sorry to hear this, it gives me goose pimples. You know that is why I wont allow my dogs on high things like beds, chairs for that same reason. this makes dog number 3 that this happened to in the past few months that I have heard of. RIP baby where ever you are. I am so sorry, dont know how to comfort you
