| Why Does She Keep Peeing On Him!! Help! Ok, I am so confused about what bailey thinks shes doing and why shes doing it... And today it happend again and im just sick of it! She is almost a year old and I want this stuff to stop!... She is very close to me and just so-so with my boyfriend (my boyfriend and i live together so she is kinda like our child) well anyway she sleeps in the bed with us and she occasionally has accidents in the bed but we recently noticed a pattern (by the way she knows to pee on the piddle pad and usually does) well anyway these "accidents" have become more frequent and we have noticed that most of the time she is peeing on daddys back and its almost always on HIS side of the bed... she has peed on his back, chest, leg... anything you can think of... and then as soon as she does it she runs away and hides in a corner, like she knows she has done something wrong and shes guna get scolded... She has never peed on me and its just gotten my boyfriend up in arms this morning my boyfriend was tickeling me and so she crawled on top of him and peed... then she ran away went downstairs and peed on his jeans... I dont know if she thinks she is protecting me or what but its just really odd... we always scold her and pick her up and put her on the piddle pad but i dont think its an issue of not knowing where to go pee... its something else... anyone know why she could be doing this??? |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She is either marking him or trying to piss him off for being with her mamma. Wow...that would surely wear thin having her doing that. I would stop letting her up on the bed if that is what she is doing. Seems a bit spiteful to me.

| Wow.... thats so odd! She's definately tryna tell ya something, what? Dunno... But maybe not letting her sleep with you & the bf would be the first step to letting her know that behavior isnt acceptable....

| yea. i would say, let her sleep on the floor...she might start whining, though. maybe you should do a test and ask your bf to sleep on the couch for one night. that might tell you whether it's because she doesn't like him or she's marking him...LOL |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Ok so she is definitely finding him to be an unwanted person there and she is showing him he is unwanted. While I don't care for the whole alpha type of training I think she needs some to be shown while mommy loves her she won't get her way. She should not be able to dictate if he can or can't be in the room...while we love our babies they are not babies like a human child and need to be treated as animals (that is my own personal feelings about it and there are others that feel differently and we are all entitled to our opinions...so I hope no one wants to jump on me and start arguing this point. To each their own when it comes to this thought). I would suggest letting her sleep in the room with you on a bed on the floor near the bed. That behaviour is unacceptable and you shouldn't have to attempt to arrange your relationship and human interaction to suit her needs.

| She might be jealous of the attention you give to each other. I'd try crating her at night until she stops, because she obviously knows what she's doing.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | For sure she knows what she is doing. This behaviour is the mild mannered version of being aggressive towards someone when they come near mommy. When I had Lex he used to nip or growl at my son or anyone coming near me.

I could not imagine what my husband who do if this continued to happen over & over again!!! First of all, I would not put my bf or husband in the guest room or on the sofa ...that is not fair to him. I love my sweet Yorkie, Buddy, more than anything but if he continued to pee on my husband over & over again .....I would remove him from sleeping with us!!!! Sounds like she knows what she is doing is wrong and does it just to spite you. I personally would crate her at night. Buddy completely LOVES his crate at night. When we start turning off the lights at night and say, "its bedtime "...he runs to his crate and never makes a sound all night!!! Best of luck to you!!! Keep us posted!!!!

She is editing herself, not someone else. Were you thinking she was editing someone else (ie being rude)? LOL, innocent mistake I think there, Daze!
