| ![]() Someone is afraid of losing her place of status in the family. She is willing for you to be the number one, but your boyfriend is not going to be number two if she can help it. I agree that she needs to be put in her place, and if that is out of your bed, thats it. we love these little stinkers too much some times, but a dog that knows it's place, is a secure dog, and a happier animal. Please don't let my Sawyer know I refered as a yorkie as an animal, lol ![]()

| ![]() Wow that is strange but I have heard of it before. My sister in law's little chihuahua HATES her boyfriend. She barks and growls at him every time she sees him. Even though they have been together for almost two years now! (prob did something cruel to her because she isnt like this to anyone else). Anyways, she sometimes pee's on his side of the bed as well. So maybe your little girl doesnt like your boyfriend for some reason, either way if a dog was peeing on my bed every night, it would not be coming on the bed again! I tried having MiMi on the bed with me but she peed at the end of the bed, ever since I just crate her. Last edited by YorkieNewbie22; 10-02-2007 at 03:37 PM. Reason: spelling |

| ![]() the only problem with crating her is that we used to do this and her bloodsugar would drop so low that she would not be moving in the morning... We even would put plenty of food and water in there but she would refuse to eat or drink and she would just spill everything all over and soak herself and then cry until we came and cleaned her up and let her out.... She is only 1.9lbs so we really have to keep an eye on her bloodsugar and she seems to upset herself to the point that it affects her health when we crate her.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | ![]() I would always feed lulu a handful of cheerios before bed as a snack to keep that blood sugar up it's a good source of nutrition. Lulu is now 3 lbs at 11 months and I never (knock on wood) had any episodes with her. If you would like you can get an xpen to keep her in the room and unstressed. I would definitely stop the bed until she learns to act like a little lady. She doesn't get fed at night in your bed right...so she shouldn't have any issues being in the crate. I don't necessarily think that your BF did something to her. I think it's her asserting her dominance. I think that animals live for the moment and can and easily will forget a small indescretion on our part. If it weren't so then dogs that were neglected and abused could never be rehabilitated. These little guys are smart (not saying that the low blood sugar is manipulation) and learn quick how to manipulate a situation to their liking...they are not terrors for anything. It's good to set her straight before she turns into a little monster. Who is to say that if you continue to give her her own way that it won't get worse and she will become that way to any visitors or possibly a child that you have in the future.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | ![]() JMO : Don't make the mistake of over coddling her because she is small. A lot of small dogs get yippy and a bit out of control because their owners give them a free pass because they are tinies, lap dogs etc. You can totally love her without giving her a free pass to become a terror.

| ![]() ah... i know i tend to let her get away with more because shes so small... We have a rottie and she cant get away with anything! But she is very well behaved because we taught her to be that way.. with bailey if she pees in the house its like EH NO BIG DEAL... because its so small and easy to clean up but I know its wrong... I just hate when she looks at me with her big brown eyes .... im a softy and my boyfriend is ALWAYS telling me that.... how do i learn to not be such a softy!....

| ![]() She is jealous..I think it's kinda sweet, but can see how this will get old FAST. I think the only solution is to make the poor thing sleep in her crate. |

| ![]() I think its sweet too!... I think thats part of the problem tho... I find it so flattering that she is that protective over me and that she dosnt want to share =) It started with her growling and barking when my boyfriend would sit on the bed or sit next to me but now that shes peeing it just isnt that cute anymore
