I'm not a cop or a lawyer, but I think dog napping is a serious offence. Get a dog lover for a judge and that kid will be seeing a 8x8 cell. Denise I would report this to the police at least. Lewis I'm sure would come confirm the details to the police with you. Nail the little b***tard to the wall. For all your family's pain, Lewis's pain, and Maddie's confusion, I think it would be just. The police will find him for sure.

I agree! That guy needs to be dealt with. I suggested to Denise to file a police report. This guy has since moved out of state, so I don't know if much can be done, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Yes, you should be thankful that you got your pup back, but this individual shouldn't be let to go so easily just because he did the right thing by giving her back, he should've done so sooner if it was possible.

I'm wondering if, after some time, maybe Lewis will reconsider having Justis for his new baby girl. If not, I'm sure Denise will let her visit him so he can keep in contact with her. I know Diggy posted this before but I wanted to again. If'd you like to send a thank you note to Lewis, you can PM me or email it to me. I'm collecting notes from anyone who wants to just tell this man how wonderful he is. We are still trying to decide on a something special for Lewis, we thought a gas card, but I'm not sure how old he is so I don't know how much driving he does. If you have any other ideas, please PM me! All ideas are welcome and we'll certainly let everyone know what is decided on. Luvmysissy and Diggy are taking care of Maddie and Denise. I'm so overwhelmed with love for this man that I've never even met. What a beautiful sacrifice he made because it was the RIGHT thing to do. I am so glad you got your baby back. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and heartache your family was suffering. I wish the boy could be punished for what he did. At least Maddie found her way to a good man that loved and cared for her. I hope that he decides to take the offer of having Justis. He deserves to be rewarded for what he done for Maddie while he had her and for making sure he returned her when he found out who her mommy was.

If anything is being done for him, please let me know. I would love to send a card or pitch in on a gift. Or if he does take Justis, I would love to get him a gift for his new baby.

There needs to be more people like him in this world.

I just came on here for the first time today and saw this post. My mouth is hanging open in shock and amazement. I can't tell you how happy I am that Maddie is back. Thank God for that wonderful man!! I am so happy for Maddie that she is back with you again. How wonderful that that man took her in and cared for her so well.

Thats why police are police (to investigate). If Lewis and Denise gave the police statements. Moving out of state isn't going to save this little pr**k (sorry a little angry). Obviously someone in the area must have known this guy. What about the guy that told Denise Maddie is dead. If it was him that did it or a person he knew. He'd crack in an interrogation room.

I've got good news....Lewis just called me and he is taking Justis. We will be taking her to him on sat. I'll be going over there tomorrow to take the girls to say thanks personally. He's excited to get her and his x wife helped him to see this will be a good thing. He said he was soooo lonely last night. And he didnt sleep all night, cause Maddie is usually in bed with him. Poor little guy, I know just what he is going thru. He said he is no Angel, and He got his blessing by returning Maddie to her Family.....WOW...HE'S STILL MY ANGEL..

Also about the jerk college kid who told me Maddie was dead. There is a part of me that just wants to kill this kid and make him pay....But I've just been given this wonderful miracle and I can't let paying someone back for something so terrible they did to me take my joy away. This kid, as much as I don't like him, is just that....A stupid college kid. God will deal with him. He will be punished. God has handed me back Maddie. God will deal with him as he see's fit. Its out of my hands and in Gods hands and it will be left up to him. I know some may not agree with me, but that's how I feel. I'm trying soooo hard not to hate this kid and its a hard feeling for me to deal with. but how can i hate, when God has given me so much love.

oh, and did I mention....MADDIE'S HOME...HEHEHEHEEH

She's doing wonderful tonight....back to her old self...except she wont poo yet? Must be nerves.

Jill and her friend stopped by tonight and brought Maddie a gift. They were very happy to see her.
