Denise...I am reading this in disbelief...you are all so lucky and I am thrilled for you! I know what you mean about the eyes and how they melt you and I've seen those eyes before...my Boog dog had those very same eyes...they look straight through to your heart!

i guys...i just talked to Lewis ex wife. They are still very good friends and just live 3 blocks from each other. She too have a little doggy and Lewis brought Maddie over each night for them to play. I told her about the wonderful opportunity Jill is giving him and maybe she could talk to him. She was soooo thrilled and said.. I'm sure after we talk to him, he'll get her. He's just hurting for Maddie right now. Her and her Daughter was going to try and find him a new baby, now they won't have too. She's gonna call me after she talks to him.

Guess what other good news yesterday brough--- Maisy (Daisy's sister and Maddies aunt) had her babies late last night. Starting at 10:30pm. She had 5 babies!!!! I couldnt believe it. 2 miracles in 1 night. Simply amazing an I feel blessed!!:D

I do hope Lewis reconsiders as Justis is a wonderful girl at 2 years old, he wouldnt have to worry with the puppy stage. She never barks, is just great. She is not up for sale, but if he wants her, she is his.

Ohhh I hope he takes the baby!! He soooo deserves it! I am sure giving Maddie up was very hard for him...He thought he had found gold! She is a special little one thats for sure.....Im so happy she is home with mommy and has a new step daddy too!!! :p

Awww congrats on the new babies too!!!!! How exciting! :D

HOW WONDERFUL!!! That is so amazing, and what a story. . .Maddie's HOME!! I kept thinking about her the other day, and now I can't believe she's home.

I couldn't say anything out loud right now if I tried. For one thing my jaw is on the floor and my eyes are full of tears so my throat is all tight! This is absolutely the best news of the month if not the year! I'm so happy that Maddie is back!

Thank you all for the kind words. I am only doing what I feel is right. Lewis was sooo kind and took care of Maddie. Even though she is Denise's now, she will always be a part of me. God brought her home to Denise and God is telling me to do what is right with Lewis. I hope he lets me help.
When she first told me about what the kid told her about Maddie a few months ago, I was in the grocery store when she called me and I cried right there by the produce. People were staring at me, but who cares, its my baby. Anyway all these posts bring more tears, but of a different kind.
Yeah for Denise and Yeah for Maddie and BIG HUGS FOR LEWIS!!

I am just to happy reading this story. You have very gorgious furbaby even with her hair cut short. Makes me want to go home and hug my own babies again. I just can't get enough of mine as it is and now this. LOL

I PM'ed you for his address so I can send him something. Such a great man. I hope that he thinks about getting this other dog. I know that nothing will ever replace Maddie, but he will find another space in his heart for the new one. It is perfect.

I honestly have goosebumps. This is a terrifying story that turns into a miracle from God!!! Animal Planet has a show called Animal Miracles that I'm sure would love to tell this story!! (they would change the names and places; they always do!) I can't believe it! This story is just....wow. I'm so happy for everyone involved!! Jill, that is wonderful of you to offer a beautiful baby to Lewis!!! Thank God for miracle like this!!

If Lewis accepts Justis it will be perfect and I thank you for suggesting and wanting to do something for me, but I won't accept it. I think everything happens for a reason and Lewis is an Angel to Maddie & Denise. Maybe Justis can be an Angel for Lewis and I would be honored to be the one to provide her. I am just soo glad that everything has worked out so well.

The elderly gentleman was touched deeply in just the one week he had your baby. She must truly be a little angel.

This is truly a miracle. It is hard to tell how God will try to speak to us. Sometimes, we are so busy, we don't listen -- this is certainly a lesson for us all to learn from.

wow...i bet you are really loving having her home. how great. it was wonderful of Jill to offer her baby. and for him to not take it just shows how much he really cared for maddie. i think it is great that you are taking her to visit him. maybe you visiting him will help him heal as well. and it sounds like you have yourself a great dog-sitter if you ever need it :)
