| Poor little Beau! I didn't have time to read the entire thread, so if I repeat advice, forgive me. I groom Toto because of bad experiences with groomers too. Toto also got the "between the eyes" shave once .... it took months to grow back. The main thing is watch Beau's eyes for eye infection. When it starts growing back, those little prickly hairs will stick them in the eye and sometimes cause infection in the eyes. Sorry you both had this bad experience. Please give Beau hugs from Toto & me!

| So sorry about what happened to you guys it must truly be horrible! That has always been my biggest fear, so I never let anyone touch my little Yorkies. I don't leave them any where, and I don't let anyone groom them but me. |

| I think you have finally made up my mind - I've been holding off getting Baxter groomed for fear of leaving him. - I've been holding off grooming myself in fear of destroying him lol - And now I think your story has convinced me to groom myself - I like that fact that the Target kit has a "How to " video - I guess I'll try that one first. Sorry to hear about your baby - and I'm sure he'll be OK - but thanks for sharing your story - it certainly sheds light on what could happen. |

| Poor Beau. I would take him to the vet first and have it checked out to make sure no infection sets in. Then I would go back to the groomer's and have a talk with her regarding her taking off part of my pet's ear! I have just starting home grooming Buddy and find that I really enjoy it. He's been looking nice, or so I'm told by other's. I still don't understand the different blades but I'm trying. He refuses to go anymore so I guess he is telling me something. Good luck and I hope Beau's ear grows back together with no problems. |

| I am sorry, that poor baby, this is my worst nightmare, i hope he feels better soon ! My new Groomer shaved mine bald, but i take some of the blame as i obious was not very clear ! But she did not injure them , or we would have a big problem ! I would try to do this but too scared to do nails, pluck ears and the anal glands !

The vet will be doing the anal glands and the nails. He said that if I just called ahead of time, he would do it for free. The ears I can handle though. The vet had to show me how to do those because Beau was getting really bad ear infections when he was younger. I was brushing my hair last night and I noticed that he was sitting 10 feet from me watching... So I walked up to him and he RAN AWAY! It's the last thing I needed! He's toutured, injured, and now afraid of a BRUSH!!! I don't know what I'm going to do...
