| Don't you need a pattern for the clothing, correct me if I am wrong? Then that pattern will tell you how much fabric you need. |

| I am sure people on here do it. I do a lot of sewing. Actually it's my job. I want to make some fun things for Winstin. A good idea to get started would be doing a search for help tips online and maybe going to local fabric store and checking into some patterns. I do know they are not hard to make. Once I get it going I will be happy to give you info so you can make things for your baby. I just happened to get sick and have not decided what exactly I want to do. If Winstin turns out to be like my dolls, and the custom work we do for brides, I will make my own patterns. I would be happy to share them with you.

| There are patterns that you can get online for free and even some that you can get at the fabric stores. I would ask your mom for basic instructions on how to do it, reding some of these instructions can be a huge headache! Oh for the free sewing patterns, google dog clothing patterns... and even do a search on here for them. Best of luck! Lisa

| There are lots of patterns in Joann's Fabric store, and other stores that would help you out a lot.

| Good for you to want to make your baby's clothes yourself!!!! When I started with mine, I had an idea in my head and just sewed and re-sewed till I got it right. I have found that most of the patterns out there are for bigger dogs and it can be really difficult to downsize. Start by measuring your pup's neck, chest (just behing the front legs) and length (from nape of neck to where tail begins). This will give you a good reference point. You can always use something you already own as a potential pattern as well. Just remember once you have the neck and chest measurements, if the closure will be velcro, you need to allow at least an extra 2" of fabric for overlap. Bows are kind of the same way (for me at least). Just start making and you'll find what you like and what you don't. Most folks use fabric stiffener on the ribbon and there is controversy on hand sewn vs. hot glue - find what works best for you!!! Good luck!!

| You can also ask your mom to help you get started. I'm sure she would be a great source of information. She could tell you where in your town to buy patterns too! Good luck, and good sewing! |

| Wanted to add if you have a craft store near you, ask them about sewing classes. Most of them have them.
