| Onion is toxic to dogs, it causes hemolytic anemia. Garlic in moderation is fine. |

| The garlic is usually optional in the recipes. I personally omit it-I don't want to take a chance on it.

| You may want to get Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats. Many of the homecookers here on YT use that book as a great resource for recipes, supplements, and general pet health.

| If you make your own broth it doesn't have to have onions in it.

| Chicken broth is okay as long as no onions...Low sodium would be best, in my opinion... I highly recommend Dr. Pitcairn's also. It will really help get you started on homecooking. Garlic is okay, but in very small amounts...Like one little clove for an entire recipe.
