| I org posted under yorkie pic's BUTT this is MY LIFE I got Roxy to be a theray dog. My dad is under 60 and has a very bad TBI (traumatic brain injury) leaving him not able to speak and move. He isnt brain dead he laughs at the right things and smiles. Our dog of 16 years died (Siberian Husky) while he was away in rehabilitation hospitals and a nursing home. He was away from home for 9 months We took my dad home and take care of him there. Which is something everyone said we couldnt do. I decided to get a dog again and she is bringing so much joy. Well so far he loves Roxy and she makes him smile and laugh everyday. When she is calm I put her on his lap in his wheelchair I am going to post a couple pic's of him with Roxy. I will take more for everyone. Roxy is very special she is just as crazy as his Ashley but small enough to lay with him. Since she is so small I leave her with my mom and dad all day. When I get home from work she goes crazy running around and all. He just laughs. It is so nice that she puts a smile on his face |

| That is so wonderful that Roxy brings such joy to your father!! I believe dogs are great healers. I have a 23yr old special needs daughter, our dogs and my daughter Crystal have a very special relationship. Crystal has such a love for all animals but especially dogs. They love her as much as she loves them!!! |

| There's a special place in heaven for families who dedicate themselves to taking care, in their home, of a disabled or seriously ill family member. You are to be commended, as is your little therapy dog! Animals are great healers. Good luck to your dad and your whole family.

| This post just made me cry. It reminded me of my mother who I lost 2 years ago after a stroke at age 68 left her unable to speak, to feed herself, to even sit up. She was in a nursing home for 3 years and my Dad was there every day to feed her and read to her. I brought Sunshine over to see her so many times. It is the only thing that could get her to smile. What a wonderful gift these special little souls are able to provide to those who need it most. Hugs Sonya

| God bless you for being such loving daughter!! My Mother [we lost her in 2006 ... on our Toto's birthday] loved her so very much and Toto loved my Mother! She would get so much joy from just watching her and she loved it when Toto would sit on her lap and snuggle!! It's almost like these babies can "sense" that they are helping!!
