| Haircut Pics PLEASE??? I'm not sure how I want to keep Abby's hair. I really wanted to grow it out b/c I love the classic yorkie look, but I have seen some really cute shorter ones to. So please everyone post pics of your yorkies no matter how long/short their hair is? Also.. Do you groom yourself? If you take them to a groomer which cut do you ask for?

| I actually don't cut Lacy's hair, other than to even it up occasionally if the hair grows uneven. I do groom her myself. Every month I shave the tips of her ears, trim her feet, and give her a sanitary trim. Her hair grows extremely slow for a yorkie so that's why it's still this short - I just cant get it to grow...if it would, I'd have her hair floor-length. I love the full coat on yorkies.

| Roxy went for her first cut at a groomer. She was all matted and all. This is her before and after pic's. Now that I can brush her everyday I dont think I want her shaved that low. |

| ^that's kinda how we have Peanut's hair cut. Not really called a 'boy-cut' we just have the grooming person using the longest setting on the clippers, and have her trim his face and his boy parts. And we let it grow from there for 1-2 months at a time. The attached picture is shortly after a haircut, the picture in my avy, is after almost a month of growth.

| Hair Cuts Here's my lil Meka before and after... I had to cut her hair because she had "matts"... I love her both ways, but I think she's been feeling better w/o her thick coat - especially here in California. I cut it myself (as you can probably tell) and I found a great Cutting Kit by Andies at Target ($25) Its a complete kit w/ a how to DVD... Love it and would recommend to anyone!

| I also want to have Coffee's hair cut but just don't know how. He is a Teapot or should I say Coffeepot and the last time I had him cut short he looked really funny. Chelsea15, I think it depends on their hair Coffee and Coco have long hair, while Coco is a dream to groom, has silky hair and she loves her grooming,( actually falls asleep and really looks beautiful most of the time, Coffee is more cottony, does not like being groomed and I also find that because he squats to pee, all the hair below his body gets sticky and is difficult to brush. Even though I try to be gentle and use a grooming spray, when he sees me with the brush he runs like hell. I think i'ts time for a nice short cut

| I dont think a yorkie can look bad with any cut. I was so upset over the weekend seeing all Roxy's hair cut short but you get used to it. How can you not just smile at them. I am really interested in those who groom thier own babies. I know Roxy is squirmy and think I could end up cutting her. I would love someone who cuts their own yorkies hair to start a thread on how too. |
