| Do U carry your pup on errands in a purse, etc? I used to think I was too cool for this I would see dog owners carrying around little pooches in purses, and yes, I was secretly making fun of them. However, I want to do it now SO bad. I bought the pooch purse by Isaac Mitzrahi (it's cool - very trendy) and wondered: What places ALLOW pooches? What places forbid pooches in purses (other than restaurants)? Do any of you carry around your love bugs? |

| I have carried Ramsey in target and in Walmart in one. Not sure if it is allowed or not. Most places will have no pets allowed signs up. |

| Ok, so shhhhh! I sneak Coco in EVERYWHERE! I take her to the movies, restaurants, stores, malls, coffee shops, and you name it, she's been there. She is so small that she just fits right into her little bag, that she lovesssssss. She will just watch everyone while we walk around or sleep in there with the motion. She loves it, so I take my baby everywhere.

| I take Chewy practically everywhere with me. I live in New York City so it is a fairly dog friendly place. People in my neighborhood know me so everyone wants to see Chewy and even the places that don't allow dogs allow us. sssshhhhhh!!! I have 2 carriers. One with a cutout and one that zips all the way up. If I think there will be any question, I take him in the zipup and no one knows anything. A guy actually asked me about my "purse", he thought his daughter might like one and he was shocked when I told him my pup was inside. |

| hehehe My 4 month old is just barely 2lbs. So she fits in nicely and the bag is kind of like a tote, so it's big enough to be mysterious. I got her bag from Target, it's really cute. I have included a picture of the shape of the bag I use. It's not this exact one but similar. I got mine for like $24 and it's the best! Plus Coco loves it in there and she loves knowing that she wasn't left out.

| I take Sully with me a lot...but I'm always "guilty" looking and nervous. I keep thinking that the store clerks will see me and my heavy bag and think I'm shoplifting, haha! But I did get away with him at Wal-Mart last week b/c he was hidden. Once when he had his head sticking out of the bag, they literally kicked us out of the store. I guess it's all in how smooth you are about it, haha!!!

| Biddy is WAY too crazy. She'd give me away in a heartbeat! Tucker is laid back & I think I'd be able to take him anywhere, but I'd feel guilty taking one and not the other

| Even though I take Chewy everywhere, getting him in the carrier is still a struggle. It's not his favourite place even though he has been doing it for the past 5 weeks! I think they either love it or hate it. He is 4 months and about 2lbs. I have a PETOTE travel carrier which can even be taken on a plane and then I have a small one by Daba Doo Collections with the cutout so they can poke their heads out. |

| I take both louis and sara everywhere with me.( not at the same time thats just asking for it ) I dont use anything i usually put them under my arm. Louis shakes alot when hes in public and he gets very protective. I dont have a problem with taking them anywhere no one says anything. Sometimes i will stick them in my sons stroller

| I take my boys with me as much as I can. I just got a dual carrier that can hold both of them and they love it. They each stick their head out one end and look around. Everyone loved them at the mall last weekend, we hardly got any shopping done because all of the employees in Macy's kept coming over to pet them There aren't too many places here in Seattle that aren't dog friendly. I avoid restaurants and Starbucks as I've heard they will kick you out. I also zip up the bag if I'm not sure. I don't feel guilty about bringing them as they are better behaved and cleaner than most children (and they are like little people to me)! It does vary depending on where you live, so you will just have to see what happens (or you can always ask beforehand). When I was visiting my parents in Sioux Falls, South Dakota over Christmas and was carring Bentley in a bag in the mall, the security guard kicked us out. This made me very mad as he did not make a sound and there were no signs posted. I'm glad we live in Seattle - a very dog friendly place! |

| I also take my dogs anywhere and everywhere. They are all service animals or service animals in training and therefore they are allowed ANYWHERE by law. Public places can have a policy against allowing animals in general, but they cannot block access to a service dog. Under the law, they are allowed to be anywhere a person is allowed to go. For more info on service animals and the law, see the thread entitled "Small Breed Service Animal Article". Lots of great info. The thread is closed but if you do a search you wil find it. Good luck |
