I used to think I was too cool for this

I would see dog owners carrying around little pooches in purses, and yes, I was secretly making fun of them. However, I want to do it now SO bad. I bought the pooch purse by Isaac Mitzrahi (it's cool - very trendy) and wondered:

What places ALLOW pooches? What places forbid pooches in purses (other than restaurants)? Do any of you carry around your love bugs?
