| I don't understand why the parti yorkie or any other colour can't just be seen as a beautiful variation of a wonderful breed. Surely the 'perfect yorkie' has already been shown, so it might be argued that what is the point, what are you trying to perfect if its already perfect? Rather than people saying they are trying to better the breed why not just be honest and say its a hobby same as someone collecting stamps etc. Some people may love it others may find it of no interest. How is someone breeding a different variation of a yorkie wrong, if someone wants to breed to the colours accepted when showing a dog then fine, go ahead and do it. We are human, all things move on otherwise we'd all still be living in caves. Its made me smile sitting here reading this, then looking at Buddy who's curled up fast asleep, i bet he's not having nightmares about what colour he is or isnt! lol

| Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | JeanieK, I want to commend you for banging your head up against a wall like this for your beliefs and knowledge. Your hard work and tears I am sure you have shed JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I can only hope my children grow up to be so strong and open minded as you. I have never seen such a concern for whats going on in someone elses "backyard". My bloodlines run over 50% Indian, everyone has Brown to black hair, and eyes so dark you can hardly see a pupil....My son came out light brown hair, and light green eyes....thank god my family was accepting. Stay strong girl...I have come to admire you in these last few days!

| don't say that lol i have green eyes so has my son. My ex mother in law (she wasn't very pleasant) told me he would NOT have green eyes like mine they would be brown like the rest of her family. When he was a baby i willed those eyes not to turn brown lol

| Okay, I had a family dinner last night and missed this. Today, I'm in the process of making hot sauce for my friends/mentors, just one of my ways to show my appreciation. I took a break and came in to find this is still going and getting rather out of hand. Name calling, rudeness, slanderous statements about long time respected breeders...enough is enough! People saying show breeders don't breed to improve the breed..You've got to be kidding!!!! Accusations towards these respected breeders that have worked long and hard for their lines and yes, I said work IS ridiculous. I know some that work 3 jobs and still take perfect care of their dogs. That is something that always comes first. Since many of you making these comments don't show, you have no idea what it takes, so don't pretend you do. These women and men have spent years studying and researching and it wasn't done to pad their pocketbooks...Anyone can breed, which is unfortunate in some cases, but it takes more that two dogs tying to make you a respected breeder. Parties, Beiwers, if they're the same, then join the Beiwers clubs, at least they have gone about things in the proper way and developed a standard from what I have heard. If parties are different, then take the years it takes to develop your own breed. If there weren't standards to act as guidelines, I can't imagine what our poor little babies would look like. If you want to continue discussing ladies, please show a little more tact and respect for these long time breeders that DO BREED TO IMPROVE. The perfect dog has not been bred yet so yes this will always be something to strive for. (Although I feel my little CJ is close) lol

That is what we, or I should say "I", since I don't know what the others want to acheive.* But you have to start by first breeding the dogs, you cannot make up a breed club until you have a breed.* And you have to develop some sort of predictabile, obtainable standards before you can state what those standards should be. that is all that I want to do.* Whether I do it on a small scale for my own line, or on a large scale in developing the breed.* But since I can't just keep breeding and keeping the dogs, I will have to sell, just as the show breeders have to sell or they would have a house full of dogs.

that brings up another issue. do you suppose that hortaculturists had this same argument over developing different colors of roses. there were probably a few that felt that all roses should be red, and if you want a yellow flower, go pick a dandelion

So, what you are doing is not different than what The Standard Yorkie Breeder is doing. Setting your own standard with your own color pattern. As I've said before I'm not here to alienate, but to educate. Many of you have called on my assistance and help. I've never turned away because I don't agree with what you're breeding. My only concern is with the dog. Jeanie....you continue to boast in away that comes off as rude, this isn't necessary. Just continue with your goals, don't worry about what anybody else is doing.
