| Please Help 2 male dogs I am so upset. I have two male yorkies. The oldest is three and the young one has just turned a year old. The male thing has started. The older one just won't let the little guy do anything. I feel so sorry for him. Will this ever stop? I really love the little guy. I don't want him to have to live life afraid of every moment. I guess this is a natural thing so I don't scold the older dog. Does anyone have any advice for me? I am even willing to let my little guy go live somewhere else if that is what it takes. Please Help |

| Thanks for the help. They are both neutered. The problem isn't humping. He lays him down and attacts. That's why I feel so sorry for him. |

| So, you're sure that he's not playing?? It really sounds like he's trying to establish dominance. You need to let them know that you are top dog...Show them that you are alpha by doing little things like...Make them sit and stay before you feed them. Have them follow a command before you give treats, things like that. Do a google search about being pack leader and you will get lots of info.

| Miko doesn't really care about dominance...He's very laid back and docile, but Emma, our little maltese....She's a different story She does have a tendency to try and be alpha, but doing simple things like what I listed above have helped her big time.

| It sounds like Doodle (the older dog) is out of control. but this is not true. He is the neatest little dog God ever put on earth. He is very well trained. And has manners that go way beyond. I am retired and spend all of my time with these guys. So do I need to take control? See I didn't know if I was to step in with mother nature. |

| I understand what you are saying My maltese isn't out of control at all either...She's very loving and sweet and loves to give kisses and is not aggressive, but she does try to be alpha and bully Miko...
