It's funny how some "GROWN ADULTS" have no clue when to keep their mouths shut and have no manners (or common sense, for that matter).. But we had a little boy come up to us the other day, while we were getting frozen yogurt, and he was the most polite thing!! He was so cute & he ASKED before he pet Avery.. He was more intellegent than alot of people i have randomly run into. haha.

BUT then again, if you think about it.. Those ignorant people are probably like that with EVERYTHING in their lives-so we can't take it personally!!

My baby is a cotton coat, and very dark.....probably won't gray out at all. But I thought the rule of silvering is only for showing? It's not a sign of a pure yorkie is it? The papers I have say her parents are all yorkie all the way back in the blood lines.....and she is yorkie in every way to me. The other thing is her ears droop - which we are working on now....but even if they don't stand, again, that is not a "purebread sign" is it? Isn't it just important for showing???

I get tired of the ignorance of others that are snobbish of the "perfect yorkie". Mine might not be perfect for showing, but she sure is perfect for me

I'm not sure about what colour a Yorkies coat should be for showing...but the pictures that i have of Pixies mother being shown at Crufts i see her coat is quite dark..doesn't look 'silver' to me...i always thought a yorkies show coat was always quite dark? ..my breeder is selling a young male of hers to pet home only because his coat is 'not Blue enough' for the show ring.
Your beautiful baby looks PERFECT to me..it's usually pure jealousy that triggers these ignorant comments.

I think those kind of people know nothing about the breed, and are not even worth talking too. Don't you wish you could say you have funny ears too, are you really human?

Your dog has a beautiful coat, that guy doesn't know what he is talking about, obviously. I don't think silver is a desired color in the breed, is it? They do all come in different sizes and colors, I have 5 of them and none look alike at all Good luck getting her ears to stand up, but I have the same problem with my almost 2 yr. old girl, one ear up and one down. It's my fault for not trimming her ears better as she was growing, as she also has a very heavy coat and it just sometimes weighs the ears down, doesn't have anything to do with whether or not they are pure bred!
