| ![]() What a coincidence, I just wrote my explanation of Luigi's full name in another post that I did... ![]() Luigi's full name is: Luigi Q. Cwunchy III ![]() My boyfriend thought of the name "Luigi" and I just thought it was perfect for my little dog. Then, we remembered this episode from The Chipmunks where Alvin, Simon, and Theodore named their puppy "Cookie Chomper III." I originally was going to name Luigi, "Crunchy," but people thought that was kinda weird and gross (haha..I THINK IT'S CUTE!) and so I changed it to "Cwunchy" (the way a baby or little kid would say it..to kinda make it sound nicer heh), and then added the "III" for no reason (kinda taking off the Chipmunks episode)...I definitely have never had a Luigi Q. Cwunchy I or II before! haha. And then randomly picked a letter of the alphabet.... "Q." .....which means nothing ![]() The name fits him just right and I love seeing the reactions people have when I tell them his whole name ![]()

| ![]() Funny! I was just thinking of starting the same post, but wasn't sure if it had been done before! I think it's interesting how people choose their pet's names! Max came with his name when I got him, and I thought it suited him. I have a kind of cute story about both of my cats though....I named Cesare (chez-ar-ray) that b/c I had a mama kitty who had her kittens in my living room behind the sofa. I had homes for most of them and was going to keep 2 of them. I was at Target one day, and the checker was a young black man and his badge said Cesare. Well, I commented on it, b/c it is sort of an unusual name and I knew that Robert Mondavi's dad's name was Cesare. The young man told me that it WAS an unusual name, and that ONLY TWO people in the WORLD had it ![]() ![]() And my other cat came to my from my sister who'd gotten her from a client and she was an adult cat probably around the same age as Cesare was then. Her name was Cynthia. My BF at the time when I first started going out with him, had recently disentangled himself from a relationship with a girl who had given him and his daughters so much grief and had been stalking him etc etc; named Cynthia....so when I get this cat (which was a year or so down the road), and he finds out what her name is, he looked at my in utter disbelief and said " ![]() ![]()

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I have had the name Sir Jeter Pendragon Petrick picked out for quite a while now. He is yet to be born but my breeder has a liter due September 25, so hopefully he will be born soon! We will call him Jeter when we get him. I have had the name Jeter picked out for a boy Yorkie for soo long. I am a Yankee fan and Derek Jeter is my favorite player. My hubby told me this May that I could start looking for my Jeter and I will hopefully be getting him home in December. His middle name is going to be Pendragon because I love King Arthur story's and so that is how we got Pendragon. Also the Sir is for being a knight from the Round Table, my youngest son picked it out. Petrick is our last name and we want him to have it too! |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() I had dreamed of owning a Yorkie someday for as long as I can remember, so accordingly my first yorkie was named Lucky Lady's Dream Dog (Lucky for short) We debated on our female yorkies' name between either Roxie (after the character Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago and Lexie (not sure how we came up with that name). We opted for Lexie; full name Lovely Little Lexie in keeping with the "L" names and it seemed to fit her better.

| ![]() Kingston was named by my bf. It was between Kingston, Charlie (my choice), Hiro from the show Heroes, and Yoda from Star Wars. We first heard Kingston from Bob Marley's song Trenchtown Rock, then again on UB40's Kingston Town and then finally on Toots and Maytal's Funky Kingston. Then Gwen Stefani named her son that. When we saw him, it fit better than all the other names we picked out and the rest is history. As for his AKC name, Kingston Nesta of Hollyhood, Nesta is after Bob Marley and my Dad. Hollyhood is from the Three Six Mafia's MTV reality show. It's also the place we call home ![]() |

| ![]() We started looking for Keifer when we found that our beloved Cooper had cancer and only had a few months. We wanted something to honor such a wonderful dog. I knew Cooper was old English for Barrel maker.... Then when I researched Keifer (Who doesn't love Mr. Sutherland?) and found in its old German form it meant Barrel maker!! We knew we had our name. Plus doesn't Keifer just sound like what a little York would say if he could talk? Kind of a lisp type word. |
