| Need some help Hi Yt'ers Most of you know that I lost Lilly a few days ago. My home just doesn't feel like a home at this moment. I have been doing some thinking and I'm going to do my homework but after I'm done paying the loan I took out to pay for Lilly's surgery I want to get another girl. I know this might not sound good but I do know I want her to look like Lilly. Ive received different feedback but I made up my mind. I also want her to be about 4 lbs & silky coat just like Lilly was.. I mean if she goes over that weight thats no problem. I think doing this is going to make me complete again. I know that it will not bring Lilly back but at least I'll have that familiar face around again which I miss. I'm going to attach some pics of Lilly so if anyone knows of a breeder or has a baby that looks like my girl and can give me the breeder info I would appreciate it. I'm not looking for now but I know I do want another one in the future. I hope you guys can understand where I'm coming from. |

| I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm sure you would love any yorkie regardless of their looks, but I understand. Good luck on your search. |

| I think its a wonderful idea. Anyone who has lost a baby knows your new one will never take the place of sweet Lilly. I firmly believe it's good and healthy to get another baby. Good luck in your search.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Gloria, I know this is tough but I think you are doing the absolute right thing! When we put Scruffy down in 1997 (at 11.5 years, dying of cancer) I DID NOT WANT ANOTHER DOG -- EVER. I'd had several pets die, but never had to be the one to make that decision before. The pain was unbearable. The next night, when I came home from work, it only got worse. No greeting at the door. No barking and squeaky toy fit. No one trying to play or jockeying to get the better position on the couch. My mother took it even harder than I did because Scruff really did love her more. By the end of the first week, she had already found a breeder. I didn't even want to go. She twisted my arm and said we were just going to "look" at puppies. But then there was Ozzie -- and I knew there was no way we were leaving there without him. Ozzie chose ME that day and he has been my best little buddy ever since. I dont know how I will cope when his day comes. It may take a pair of Yorkies to help fill the hole because I know it will be like having my heart removed with a dull spoon. Ozzie is not Scruffy. (and in many ways, that's a GOOD thing! ) Another dog would never be Ozzie. All they can do is help you heal, give you somewhere to put all that love you have with nowhere to go. And soon, you will love them just for being them. Lots of hugs as you start to look for a new furry friend to love. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I think it's a nice tribute to her memory - I know people will tell you not to compare other yorkies to her - but we all do it in small ways - I do it with my girls and sometimes catch myself ...they are ALL unique in their own little personalities - even those that look alike.... I wish you all the best in your search |

| This is my Amber. She just had a baby boy. LOL One. I think she looks alot like your Lily in the face. Amber weighs 4 1/2 lbs. She's not for sale but I thot you might like to see her. These are not the best pictures of her but other than the colors I think their faces look alike. Sylvia |

| I just read Lily's story in the RIP thread and I must say my heart goes out to you and your family. There's trully so much love for your little one in your words. I sincerely understand your feelings and I feel it's absolutely legitimate that you should want to get a new lil one as close as her as possible. My first yorkie, Sally, died over six years ago and when some four months later I got Rubi, it was Sally's physical appearance I had in mind. They are in fact so much alike, physically, I mean. I wish you the best of luck in your search. I think thinking about a new one always help to heal the wounds. |
