Should I get a doggie stairs still?

They have the tall ones at Petco I have a bed that's really high up to, and they have one of those 4 step, tall stairs at Petco.
If you want the smaller ones for your couch or something, you can get the 3 step, shorter ones at Linens 'n Things.

I just saw some steps at wallmart today for 29.99 If I remember right I think that it had 3 steps to it, but I did not really look at the measurements....Im going to go back and get some too because Bella is a great jumper and I do not want her to get hurt, and Louie does not jump at all so they will definately be good for him when he wants to get up for his midnight romps haha.

I have the 3 steps for my couch, but I couldn't find any for the bed. London always jumps off the bed and I also worry about the future. My 2 Chi's wait to be let down, but not London. She leaps. Though she always uses the stairs for the couch. I'll look for higher steps on ebay today. Thanks all, for the great advice.

i saw pet stairs at liquidators do u have one of those in ur neighborhood or u can check petedge.com...they are reasonable prices..

Repetitive jumping can cause damage.

We have a tall bed. I ordered the wooden stairs that were carpeted and they come all of the way to the top of the bed. Because they are made of wood, they are also safe and will not tip over if she were running up or down them very fast. That was also a consideration. I didn't want to worry about the stairs falling over with her. These are more costly than the plastic stairs, but I put no dollar value on her safety. To locate something that was suitable for us, I just did a google search for "doggie stairs." Good luck to you.

I bought a ramp for our high bed and taught the doggies to use it by putting tiny treats on the ramp. Now they use it all the time. Well, I should say my two youngest use it all the time. I'm teaching one of my seniors to use it by the same method but the learning is going slower . The saying "It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks" is definitely true. Neither of my seniors jump off the bed, though. They always wait for me to put them down so it isn't quite so urgent to teach them. Joanne

I have stairs (totally recommend) but dogs mostly just use to get on the bed; they take the fast root (jumping off) to get down
