Repetitive jumping can cause damage.

We have a tall bed. I ordered the wooden stairs that were carpeted and they come all of the way to the top of the bed. Because they are made of wood, they are also safe and will not tip over if she were running up or down them very fast. That was also a consideration. I didn't want to worry about the stairs falling over with her. These are more costly than the plastic stairs, but I put no dollar value on her safety. To locate something that was suitable for us, I just did a google search for "doggie stairs." Good luck to you.
