Should I get a doggie stairs still? Chloe can jump up and down very well. Our bed is very HIGH and she doesn't have a problem to jump up and down at all. I just worry it might hurt her legs in a long run? Should I get a doggie stairs even she doesn't seem to have problem jumping up and down? I just worry she might have problem with her legs in a long run if she keep doing that?? Am I just worry too much?? |
Do you think she'll use the stairs? If she'll use the stairs, then I would definately get them. She might land wrong one day and hurt herself. These babies are so fragile that I wouldn't want to take any chances. |

I am not sure.......I think I can teach her how to use it...or at least I think she will slowly pick up the idea that I want her to get to the bed by walking on the stairs instead of jumping! I agree!! Our babies are so fragile and I don't want to take any chance also!! |
Now, I will need ideas where to get a good stairs for a good price!! Thanks!! |

I think that pet stairs are a good idea for protecting their legs. Even though they can jump off/on furniture, it's easier on their legs in the long run if they just walk/run up/down some stairs. You don't want your babies to get luxating patellas later on. Miko and Emma have both learned how to use the stairs and they use them religiously. Emma never jumps on/off furniture anymore, she will only use the stairs. Miko uses the stairs get on/off the couch, but preferes to use a stool that I have at the edge of my bed rather than the stairs. |

Well, what I meant to say was ottoman...It's like an ottoman that I put at the edge of my bed instead of in front of my chair :) He does use the stairs, it's just sometimes, he jumps on/off the ottoman instead, that's why I have it there. But Emma, my maltese, she only uses the stairs, not the ottoman. |

Haha! Yeah, I read that over again, and ottoman is a much better description. :) |
i would get them if you think she will use them. Maggie has a broken leg right now, from a fall that is probably lower to the ground than a lot of beds, and she landed just right. if the dog lands just a little off, it can break the leg. I figure, better safe than sorry :) |
I just measured my bed and it is like 28 feet tall. (How tall is your bed?? Mine seem higher than normal??) How tall should I get for Chloe?? Most of them are 12"H, is it too short?? |
Ok, I meant 28cm tall! hahaha..not 28 ft!! |
