| What about the cost of the C-section? Your mother wouldn't even have needed a C-section. I would expect them to eat those charges! Did she get spayed right away, too? Are these vets young and inexperienced? Or are they seasoned vets that have been around for a while? I'm so sorry you've had such a bad experience. I look forward to having a litter in the future. I know how disappointed I would feel. (and pissed off at the vets!)

Your story was heart-breaking. I do not know anything about breeding dogs, but, after reading your story, I advise that you find a new vet and report the old one. Also, you had every right to ask for a replacement puppy! My heart goes out to you at this time, and you and your mamma Yorkie are in my prayers. Hopefully, you can find some way to console the mamma. I feel very bad for you and I am very upset. I am tearing up as I type this post. Please keep us all updated on how the mamma is doing. I hope that you know all of us here at YT.com are here for you to help you through this tough time.

So sorry for you and the puppies, hope you find a good vet. Took me a while to find one I liked who actually knows what he's doing. Good luck to you .

B]COLOR=Blue]AWWW, I am so sorry to hear about those needless losses! Are you a novice breeder? Did the vet know that? I mean, had you discussed all options with her for every event during this whelping so that she understood all of your concerns and your degree of experience. A vet should treat an experienced breeder differently than a novice. AND, tell them to come in and take a look no matter the cost..Pat and I know of at least 4 things like that happening in the past coupla years and 2 were experienced breeders who trusted the vet and not their instincts. Whelping can come down to nothing more than a judgement call on the owner's part. This is a real valuable learning event and although it is sorrowful, there are some positives and 1 is to get that first horrible experience behind you and learn from it.. Your baby is across Rainbow Bridge with so many of ours that have left us since Thanksgiving.[/COLOR][/B

Oh my, I am so sorry to hear about what happened... I can't imagine how you are feeling. I hope your girl recovers quickly from the surgery... and that the vet pays for all expenses.
