| 3rd time this week. AHHHHHH This is the third time this week cody got out of the apartment. Yesterday evening I took him out to use the bathroom and I brought him back in. was going out to clean it up. and he slipped out the door before i could get out fast enough. and yeah you know the result.. he got the zoomies. and went running in the street . i was yellin cody come here to me ... and running and chasin him. after 30 mins. FINALLY i caught him. i tapped him on the nose and said NO. bad boy. he got put in his pen for a few minutes... so ok just now i took him out to use the bathroom. and this girl who is kind of slow. she came up to me to see if i would walk around the apartment with her. and at the time i was letting cody use the bathroom. and of course. you know what happens. yep. zoomies.. well he slipped out of his harness. his legs got out and it just slipped right off. so another 20 minute chase. I tightened the harness up so IM PRAYING he can't slip out of it no more. if it happens again i'm gonna have to find another kind of harness or something. |

| I know how scary that can be. Otis is a runner and WILL NOT come back. He got out twice at my friends house when her daughter opened the door to talk to her mom. Also, he got out of an open space in my back fence one time. I totally panic. I've been lucky and got him back safely every time, but as a result I am a total freak about closed gates and open doors. I have a sign on my front door that says "watch for Otis" and have now put a partial expen in front of it. Also, I check the gate every time I let him out to potty. Glad you were able to get him back to you. Good luck searching for a solution.

| Well I live in apartment and the rules are they be on collar or harness in my case. since yorkies cant have collars for walking. but i get so scared that he is going to get hit by a car .. the people in here are elderly and most dont care for dogs so i dont have to worry about him being kidnapped their not fast enough to catch him. heck even i can't catch him fast enough and im 26 LOL |

| Izzie still being a pup gets the zoomies also (I love that phrase ) One time she did escape out the front door (someone came to the front door and left the screen door open...Luckily she didn't run too far....and needless to say I now keep the screen door locked. Then the other day while walking her out to the mailbox her leash came undone from her collar...luckily I noticed it before she did or else I know she would have taken off like a flash of lightning....she was busy sniffing the ground. I was able to scoop her up before she knew it....whew, sigh of relief.....I'm waiting to get my harness/leash from Chattiesmom's and then will be able to walk her as I don't trust my retractable leash anymore....I now carry her out to the mailbox.

| Vinnie slipped his harness for the first time ever, scared me to death, he's a runner and has moments of "selective hearing." I am getting a buddy belt, i was always going to get one but i'm getting it tonight!

| I think they grow out of this! One of my boys used to zoom out the door everytime someone opened it! It was really annoying!! Very occassionally one of them will slip out now, but not like they used to! Its very scarey indeed! I used to think "oh Im going to beat his little bum when I find him" then hed come up to me after a 1/2 hour and running around my feet all happy and exhausted that I had a hard time staying mad because he was sooooo happy!! FREEDOM!!! HAHA
