Makes it pretty easy to see which one is your real "friend," doesn't it?

I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt. The older I get the more I realize that the words 'rude' and 'friend' don't belong together so I either speak my mind with that person and get things resolved or I find another friend. Life is too short to get wrapped up in someone else's 'issues' or 'drama'

Last week, my cousin told me that Boobah would turn on me and one day would bite me. I told her "she's mine, and has a calm personality". I always have a one-liner ready. If they continue, then we're on our way. My cousin also has an afghan..Boobah barks the heck out of her!

That's exactly what I was thinking. Just ignore her, she's obviously not worth worrying about.

Most people we meet in a store or on walks want to pet them or want to know if they are puppies, if they'll get any bigger, etc.

The only people who make fun of my dogs are friends who are just joking. They are the same friends who ask how the dogs are and invite the dogs to go with us if we're going to a dog friendly place. One of the guys I work with calls Prince & Angel "Kibbles & Bits". He also picks them up and plays with them when he sees them. He's huge and it's really funny to see such a big guy holding such little dogs, especially if Angel is wearing something pink

that would have hurt my feelings too and I'm sorry your "friend" acted like that to you but I don't think I would have been as nice as your were. I'm like a mommy lion with it comes to my kids, grandkids, and pets. I probably would have tore her a new one

When Zoey was just 2lbs. Someone said to me..."Oh you got a hamster." My SIL is so jealous, she pretends Zoey is invisible. Your friend is sad. Hang with the other friend who helped you out!

It's sad that there are people like that. Sometimes you try to be a friend to someone and they just seem to want to be rude.

Be glad she moved away.

Well I would not worry about it! She is not a friend! Sounds like she has some issues! Dont you worry honey! If It was me I would have told her to pack sand!

Its interesting how some people think that it is okay to say rude things about other people's pets, etc. We have a "good friend" who had a yellow lab that he really loved. We knew how much he loved the dog and were supportive of him. Even though the house always smelled like dog. When the dog died, we sent a card, and when they got a new dog, we visited. However, he continually makes fun of our Yorkie. He has never said a nice word about her.
