Rude friend was mean to my puppy! I ran into an old friend today while I had my new puppy. She is a pet lover and has 3 dogs, a cat, a bunny, fish, etc. However, she didn't even give Cosmo the time of day. Instead she looked at him and said "Jerry used to have those kinds of dogs. Their greasy." The she said "He is shaking (which he wasn't) all those kinds of dogs shake. It drives me crazy." Maybe she was mad becuase she moved away and I didn't keep in touch but her comments were hurtful. I have ALWAYS wanted a Yorkie but could not afford one and now that I have him I wouldn't trade him for the world. He is such a little lover and yet spitfire! How can someone be so mean? |
Take it from where it comes from! She is probably jealous! Let it go in through one ear and out the other! |
Most people act like that when they are jealous |

You are right. I shouldn't let it bother me. She has always been on the rude side which is why I didn't keep in touch. However, she has a boxer, scotty, and beagle all of them pee'd in her house to the point she ripped up the carpet and just had cement and yet I nevr said a word. I would never pick on someone's animal. I mean it's not like he growled or bit her! Poor little man. Oh well, he was very cute in his little scarf and backpack! |
She may be jealous. I was talking to a friend a long time ago about breeding Ellie (which I decided against...don't worry YTers;) ). She said she wanted one of Ellie's puppies. Well, now that her and her fiance have a big dog I hear things like you're nuts (because I baby Ellie). I also have gotten the she looks like a rat comment. I would just think that they are jealous (or just like to stir things up) and let it go. |
grrr.. She is jealous. My friend got a shihtzu the sametime as mine. She told me yorkies are a fad. |
I agree with others...she's jealous. |
I agree w/what everyone thinks here, your "friend" is just jealous. It's funny how some people have a complete disregard for what comes out of their mouths! I've only had my fur baby for a month, and already I've heard many unwarranted opinions and advice regarding my baby from strangers, friends, and family. *ugh* |
Aw dont let her comments get to you.. she should consider herself lucky u didnt say anything back! if it were me... thats a diff story :) |
You all are right! I was reading through all the replys and you are right. Funny thing is whenever I would run into someone with a Yorkie before I just fell in love with them. I was afraid people would think I was a wierd stalker! and now that I have one I have been overwhelmed with negative comments from people and family. She is rude and I guess it hurt becuase she is such an animal lover. I mean my parents think me buying little scarfs is wierd but I don't care what they say. Funny thing...my best friend who has no animals helped me track down a life jacket a few weeks ago when I had to take him in the boat with us! I mean she called me weird and laughed with me but like a true friend she hauled her 3 little boys into a pet store to see if they had an extra small becuase I called her from the pet store across town with my deliema and she was near another store. We found one and she laughed when I sent her pics along with a thank you from Cosmo!:D |
If you allow people's hateful words to affect you, then you've given them the power over you that they are looking for. Don't give her that pleasure...just let comments like hers go where they belong - in one ear and out the other. They aren't worth your time or your worry. You know what's real and what the truth is and you have a precious baby to love. that doesn't change, regardless of what she says. Suzi |
She's just jealous  I have a friend I grew up with that everytime she sees Teddy she says "Oh He's the ugly one". It pisses me off but she's rude like that so i just ignore her. Some ppl are immature |
You have to excuse the stupid people in the world. |
I agree she is just jelous! After all it is her loss.;) |
