| my dogs just got into a fight!!! wow...i'm still in shock. my cocker (27 lbs) and maggie (5 lbs) just got into a huge fight. luckily i was standing right there and was able to grab maggie before either of them got hurt. maggie is such a little feisty thing. i know she started it. if daisy ever comes anywhere near anything that is maggie's (her food bowl, her crate, her car seat, her mommy LOL) she growls and gets angry. she only does it to daisy tho...maybe because daisy is a female??? well, normally daisy is submissive and does not bother with stuff that maggie is being protective over but this morning, maggie was eating, and daisy came over (I was standing right there cutting up watermelon so daisy was just coming over by me) and maggie went OFF!! next thing i know the 2 of them are rolling on the ground with each other. i swoop maggie up, daisy takes off running, and maggie is still in my arms barking violently and trying to get down. a few minutes later, after i thought she was calmed down, i let her down and she goes running after daisy!!! i said "NO MAGGIE" and maggie stopped dead in her tracks and came back to me. but MY GOODNESS!!! she is such a stubborn thing! and just a minute ago, i had maggie on my lap, brushing her hair and kinda looking over her to make sure she was not hurt, and daisy came over near me...maggie started barking violently again and trying to get down to go get daisy. unbelievable. they have never done this!! maybe one of the 2 of them (maggie HAHA) is pms'ing?? sheesh...she doesn't give up. and apparently doesn't let go of the grudge. she is still trying to get at daisy. i guess i will have to watch them super close for a while. oye.

| Whew! I broke a sweat just reading this! Yes, they are stubborn little ones, aren't they?! Daisy seems like a VERY patient dog..which is good, but all dogs snap eventually. Enough is enough. I'm sure they'll get over it and be fine. Do they get along and play for the most part?

| Yes, you definitely need to keep an eye on the situation. If not dealt with, the problem could escalate until one of them is injured. |

now...let me say...maggie is not like this with people. she growled at me once when she was very little when i went near her while she was chewing on a bone. i immediately put her on her back and made her submit. and for a few weeks after that, i would constantly take food and treats and toys from her just to make sure she would never do that again. and she doesn't. i have never seen her act like this with humans...just daisy. and other dogs if they go near her crate or carrier.

| Sounds like Maggie's being herself and Daisy's already adjusted to that personality. I'll keep an eye on those two still. Good Luck!

| I would keep an eye on them as well. Sasha my little one also bothers Pebbles the older bigger one. Pebbles likes to play nice with her, but I also watch you never know!

| ok, i swear to you they are talking about it. maggie is doing all she can to get daisy to forgive her. i swear it!! since daisy will not have anything to do with her, maggie just jumped up on the couch with me and snuggled. i guess i'll do first, maggie was cleaning daisy. now, i was just watching the 2 of them together. daisy is just sitting there looking to the side. maggie is getting in daisy's face very gently and daisy keeps looking away. then, all of a sudden, maggie flops onto her side and puts all 4 legs in the air like she was saying "look, i give up...i'm sorry". daisy just got up and walked away. i guess that means she is not ready to forgive maggie for beating her up??? i really think it hurt daisy's little feelings. she has been a bit mopey. but it is cute watching maggie try to "apologize"
