| Just a little "venting" Hi guys! I am just going to vent for a moment!!! Have any of you ever had someone in public ask questions that almost offend you about your furbaby? I brought Roxee into the vets office today for a little checkup (UTI) and this woman was in there with her dog. She said "Oh, what kind puppy do you have there?" I said she is a yorkie. She said "I have a little male yorkie." She proceeds to talk about breeding her yorkie and mine. Needless to say, Roxee is spayed. She said oh well. I put Roxee on the scale and her her weight is 4.2 lbs. Now, I know that some have much smaller babies, but I think mine is perfect (she is mine--LOL)! The woman then says "Oh, she's a big girl! My boy is like 2.9 lbs. I said "Yes she is a big girl" with a LARGE smile on my face. Now, I know I am silly, but Roxee does look like a yorkie in my opinion. And she fits in the standards of size. And if she wasn't, so what!!!!! Now, she did say that her boy was more silver and mine was more black, so maybe that was her confusion. I have attached a pic so you can see her! Sorry for such a long post--just needed to vent. Roxee got plenty of attention at the vets office from her vet, the tech, and the children and their parents in the waiting room. One young boxer just loved her!!! She just wanted to tackle him!! Thanks for listening.... Thea |

| She is very much Yorkie and She is NOT a "big girl." My baby is 4.5 to 5lbs and he is very small. I think that woman was just trying to bring you down to make herself feel better. Roxee is beautiful! |

| I would say the woman was an ass, but that would be insulting to the jackass species. |

| If she didn't even know what kind of dog you had she should NOT be talking about breeding Yorkies! Ugh..I get tired of dumb @$$ people! Your baby is very pretty by the way! And she's very small to me! My yorkie is 7lbs so just barely fits in the standard LOL so anything under 5lbs seems little to me. I had someone random in Petsmart ask me if I was interested in breeding my dog with her male - I seriously wonder what is wrong with someone when they'll just walk up to a random person that they've never met before and ask that. I mean would you just walk up to the first guy/girl you met and say, "Hey, would you be interested in making a baby with me?" Haha...I understand the need to vent - I feel I need to do it often..

| I would say that 2.9 lbs is VERY small for a Yorkie. Sadie weighs just under 4 lbs and is a year old. I keep hoping she'll fill out a little, but she's so active that she just burns up the calories. BTW, your little girl is an absolute doll and looks exactly the way I picture a Yorkie should look!!

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | Hey, I think she is beautiful!!!! and of course she is a yorkie!! When I had Duke and would ask about other peoples Yorkies and well as other dogs, but I tried not to compare. Duke was 4.8 and some are bigger than him and some smaller. I thought he was PERFECT!!!! I don't know if I'd want one smaller. He seemed so tiny anyway. I was always scared he get hurt. Keep smiling when dumb people ask dumb questions cause they always will. and next time it might be me asking the dumb questions!! ha-ha

| People can be so dumb sometimes! My aunt (very snotty woman) saw Cash when I went home one weekend and borrowed him for a couple of minutes to show to a neighbour who wanted a dog (my aunt lives next door to my parents) and she kept making remarks about how he looks like a schnauzer!! My yorkie looks nothing like a schnauzer!! She has poodles and thinks all other dogs are inferior. And then she doesn't even train her dogs and let them run complete riot in her house. I was very indignant with her snotty comments!!

| People say the silliest things sometimes. I would hate to have heard what she would have said about my baby. He'll be 6 months on Sunday and already weighs 7.5 pounds. I get asked constantly if he is full breed. Not sure why this bothers me so much, but it does. I've thought about carrying his AKC papers with me to show people he is 100% Yorkie each time they question me. |

| Aww, your Roxee is adorable My Hoku is on the larger size and I notice she doesn't get as much attention as her smaller brother Kalani. Some people are so obsessed with 'tiny' yorkies that they don't realize how hurtful their comments/actions are. Don't take it to heart
