| spayed We went ahead and had Kiwi spayed this morning. They called and all is fine. I can pick her up at 3:00. I feel the prices were high. They are charging for regular anesthesia(85.00) and then a charge for additional anesthesia (65.00). We assume that is because she is getting two teeth pulled at 40.00 a tooth. When we had our poodle done years ago in another state, they pulled the teeth for free since she was already under. They also charge for a blood panel(75.00), antibiotic injection (18.00), blood count (38.00), blood pressure (30.00), collect specimen (12.00) medicine (17.00 and 26.00), surgical prep (15.00) and then dental scaling (50.00). I don't know if I listed everything but the estimate was 504.24. We will not go back to this vet. I really feel since we just spent 500.00 having both dogs there last week for their yearly check and we were having our poodle's teeth cleaned (189.00-they did the blood work during the original visit so we already paid for that-at least they could of either pulled her teeth or cleaned them for a discount. But.....they were recommended as a great vet with high tech for surgery and we were so worried about Kiwi we wanted to be sure we left nothing to chance. But I need to find a more reasonable vet for the yearly check-ups. Thanks for the post.

| It was going to cost us 300, but it's 90. We're getting a certificate from http://friendsofanimals.org/ See if your vet takes those. |

| That's terrible, I'm getting Stella spayed Friday and she also is having some teeth pulled. Spay cost is around 130.00, pre-surgery blood panel 39.00 and each tooth will be between 7.00 to 9.00. He told me if I had it done at seperate times it would cost 48.00 for anesthesia. You must be close to the "Queen City" Last edited by Stella's mom; 07-03-2007 at 05:45 AM. Reason: incorrect price |

| Teeth How come they have to have their teeth pulled? Does your vet check that before he does the procedure to see if it needs to be done. Our baby is not having it done until Aug. but I was just wondering about the teeth. |

| I think we paid 150.00-170.00. We had the extra blood work done too. Heather-Mamma to Gracie and Hallee |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Lulu was just done on the 21st of June and it cost me $288.95 and that included her rabies and a six month supply of interceptor and removed some baby teeth that needed to come out. Good luck with your cutie. She will do fine. Lulu was a champ for hers. She was back to herself the next day.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Usually at the pre-surgical visit then check their mouth to see if there are any double teeth. The usually do the extraction at the same time so as to not have to put them under again.
