I just wanted to add one more thing. I've gone back and read all the posts made by kat1york. Every word she says I agree with. Perhaps it is time for her Dad to make a call to Modesto police. At least HE seems to have empathy for this situation.

To address the lazy cop theory...Yes this is true.
My dad is a Det. and he knows a few too many with that attitude.
But he also knows some that go above the call of duty to help out.
Unfortunately, the bad out weigh the good.

I think it is crazy that officer Nickerson is the only one that c an deal with this case!!!! He is on 4 days and off 4 days, surly he has some important case loads that have to be attented to while he is off. I called and got a lady named Susan, I left a message for her to please return my call, hopefully she will and we will find the reason Officer Nickerson is not responding, maybe he got fired???????? He sure botched our case, I am sure we are not the first. He may be no longer their. Or maybe he got transfored, Their has to be a reason he is not returning our calls, and I think it is because he is not their or working this week, he could be on vacation for all we know.

Maybe with Galantea and the PI, we should try to get another officer involved who will get on top of this case and get Zeke home before 2008!!!!!! As I have said a million times, time is a wasting!!!!!!

I really do not think he is there. Maureen called dispatch and they would not tell her when he will be back on duty.

He is good about calling when he is on duty.

I think we need a new officer to go along with our wonderful Lawyer Galantea and the PI we are bringing on board. He can't be the only officer in the world we have to deal with.

Gosh it is so hard to drag myself away from theis post, but I have to get busy, I will be back on line, after 4:oo, and hopefully Maureen and Galantea will have a great plan all worked out!

I am sorry that people in here want to make the above post seem like its negative just because it goes against the grain of the "dreamers" in here.

This poster had the same concerns as i did you you all have no right to speak down to them for posting their opinion. A lot of what i was saying was based on the fact that I had no clue that Maureen had just moved. that makes things much more difficult. That also answers the posters question:

and you see u don't have to be rude because someone is probing for more information so that they can better understand the situation.

This is the way i see it. Most people in here are sympathizing with Maureen. and thinking on the irrational side of things because usually even if it was a lost child you are willing to do every extreme thing possible to find your lost child in this case a dog.

I am sorry but I have 3 family remembers in the police force in Nebraska, and YESSSS they are busy.

You all can be some of the sweetest people in the world in here, but when it comes to mob mentality and making trying to make someone feel like crap for not thinking the same way u do , your really good as well.

Why not take the time and have a discussion, even if it means you have to answer the same thing twice. I thought the whole point of this thread was to help Maureen spread the word about Zeky in hopes of getting him back. I have always been picked in my life and will always take up for someone getting picked on cause it doesn't feel good being the target.

take the time out to help people understand instead of trying to make them feel like crap.. cause Zeky is more important to Maureen than that petty stuff you all are dishing.

if you all jump on me i really don't care, but getting out information to people who want to help with money prayers and whatever is more important than what i have seen happening.

I pray she gets Zeke back soon. I sure wish there was a way we could steal the dog and take it to get scanned for the microchip. if its Zeke then things would be proven and if it isnt take their dog back and appologize. Oh well since thats dishonest and we could get into way too much trouble doing that, I will sit here and pray Zeke is returned.

But I have to admit it sounded good in my head at first till the logical side took over with all the honesty issues.

WOW!!! you guys were busy last night:eek: I have not read through the post yet but I will I just wanted to give you guys an update.

This morning I got a call from a man that said he had a dog that looked like mine and asked if I wanted to come identify him. I had my dad go with me but no luck... He was a very dirty carrin(sp) terrier:(

I drove by the "Houses" this morning but nothing:(

K I am going to catch up now... :)

NO... he NEVER contacted me... ARGGG!!!

Here's an idea: What about having someone pretend like their car broke down and ring the doorbell and ask to use the phone??? Cell phones are always running out of battery power when you need to make an important call. Once inside take a picture with the camera part of the cell phone.

Okay...I am home for the rest of the day. I've read through this entire thread, finally made it to the end.
Maureen sorry the dog wasn't Zeke!!!
I think all we have to do is wait until galatea is able to come back on...talk to Maureen...get all the facts straight. Let her deal with the Modesto Police Department, I just know she will be able to get through to them...hopefully they will in turn put their own detective/investigator on this ASAP.
If that falls through...then we get the PI on August 1st, I know it seems like an eternity...but...it may be our best chance. Unless we are able to round up enough people here to stake out these houses...with cameras/video recorders and follow this woman until she brings out a dog...so that Maureen can either ID the dog...or not.
Do we know if this is rental property or is the woman a home owner. If it is rental property can we find the owner and ask if pets are allowed??? If not, they have a right to search their own property don't they???
Still praying for that happy ending, but we STILL NEED GIFTS FOR ZEKE!!!

No he is not... last time my husband went and complained to his supervisor because he was not returning my calls... next thing I know he was at my door telling he didn\'t appreciate being "Told On"

I dont think he has any intentions of doing anything... arggg!!
