| ![]() Can you say hire a Private Investigator? Time is of the essence. There are a whole lot of people here that want to help...has anyone set up a fund? Maybe we could put up a billboard...And again how big is this city of Tracy...like 20,000...or more?

| ![]() Jeannie I pm'd you with a question... How is the grooming going? I went to Target today and I always go straight for the dog section... I saw a woman picking out the cutest dress so I asked her what kind of furbaby she had and she said Yorkie. She was saying how they needed to walk her more and I said "Please Don't." She looked at me strange like I was some weirdo. So of course you know I couldn't help myself I told her Zekes story and gave her his Myspace page and told her about Yorkie talk. I told her about the other furbabies being taken and begged her not to take her eyes off her for a minute. She told me her daughter also has one so she will definitely pass it on. She thanked me for my information and we parted ways. I hope with each person we tell we can help save some furbabies. |

I think a Billboard will reach thousands and thousands, and they will tell thousands and thousands, and pretty soon everyone will be talking and looking for ZEKE, surly if any one bought him, they would have a big enough heart to return him if reimbursed, and given a reward for incentive! Maybe we could have a nice poster about the Zeke fund at the bank, and maybe people who bank their would like to contribute. Maybe a big Jar at every teller window, would bring us some extra money. As you said the time is getting short, and we have to keep the momentum going!!!! I also think the Private investigator, would be a big help, or the Detective, that the police offered. I can call tomorrow and see if the Detective could happen through the police force, than we would not have to pay a PI! I will post tomorrow and let you know what they can do now, if anything. I would think probably Maureen should have the fund set up at her bank in Modesto, it could be called the missing Zeke fund, and we can wait a week for it to build up, and then decide how the money would be best spent to find ZEKE. I will ask Maureen to open an account for The ZEKE fund, on Mon, and post the address of the bank where she banks so we all can start sending in checks. It would be nice if the bank would let us put up big Jars with the picture and story of Zeke taped to them, at each of the teller windows, and they could be reading about Zeke while they do their banking, and Mon. should be a big banking day after a long weekend! Would like to hear some feed back if this is o.k. with everyone. Also what would you like to call the account? Maureen would have to get the large jars for each window, and maybe we could get some of the information copied from my space to be taped to the jars, like a picture of Zeke and anymore of the information that is really important that will fit on the jars. Pray that the banks will let us do that. Maybe it would be best to start a thread just asking for donations for the missing ZEKE fund, it could get other people interested in this thread, and maybe we can get a whole new bunch of people praying and coming up with good thoughts on how to find ZEKE. I also need everyones input, or would it be better to keep just this thread for everything. I think it was nice that Sharon C was brought on board, from another thread. Of course it would be posted here for everyone on this thread as well, but with another thread just for contributions for missing ZEKE we could get more people interested in the ZEKE story, and the more people talking about ZEKE and giving ideas, the better! Everyone here has been so on top of everything and is just amazing with the amount of work everyone has done and the effort put forward. Something good will come of all the hard work, so lets all hang in there, and get ready to send your contributions to Modesto fund, that hopefully can be set up by Mon. Sorry this is so long, it covers, billboards, Detective and PI, and a missing ZEKE fund, and the start of another thread for the funding program only, as well as on this thread!

| ![]() I don't know if anyone has done this yet but I am putting an ad on Puppyfind for Zeke. Only problem is if someone is doing a search mine come up in Colorado. We want Californians to see this so if anyone else in California can put an ad up that would be good too. The more the better. |

| ![]() I just thought of something significant that we have not thought of yet. Let us assume that Zeke was stolen for the purpose of being resold. This does not make the person who "buys" him in good faith, a bad human being. Afterall, they innocently bought a beautiful dog in what they can rightly assume is an honest transaction. (The "thief"/seller could make up ANY plausible story to justify the sale of Zeke. Now y'all stay with me. The new "Mommy" takes Zeke home. As we all know, anyone that adopts a furbaby, has to have love in their hearts. With ALL THE EXPOSURE Zeke has had on various websites, flyers, emails (I have sent to anyone and everyone I know up "North"), as have SO many here, there is a good possibility THAT THE NEW "OWNER" WILL eventually RECOGNIZE ZEKE. If they do so because they have read his story ANYWHERE, surely they would want him returned to his rightful family, once they are aware of the devastation to Maureen.?? Especially if they know there would be no repercussions? I think we have to consider this possiblity, that either his new family, innocently showing him off, could expose him to someone that knows/shows a flyer/website/picture of Zeke. Just a thought.... but a definite possibility. That is just one reason NOT to give up and to continue exposing people to as many pics/flyers etc containing Zeke's picture and story. Because even if he is "sold", the story need NOT end there!!!! |

| ![]() I posted Zeke's info on Puppyfind and added it to my website and hopefully some Californians can add it also. We need it to come up on a California search and mine will show up on Colorado searches. I will try and refresh it numerous times throughout the weekend so it stays on the top few pages and everyone that is searching for a yorkie will see it. I have my fingers crossed and please dont give up. Last edited by CO_yorkie_momma; 06-29-2007 at 09:51 PM. |

Don't give up yet Maureen Honey. We are all here to hold your hand as long as you need us. I have one more question for you. There must be a "Master List" in a computerized database, that a vet refers to, when a pet that has been scanned, reveals contact information that does not match the individual that brought the animal in. Ask your Vet about this Maureen. What is the normal procedure when a vet is confronted with a situation like this? Is it routine for them to contact the person listed in the scan if the info revealed therein, contradicts that of the present/new "owner"? Just a new thought before I retire for the night. It has now become my habit to check here before I go to sleep. You never know what ideas occur to you at such a late hour..... ![]() Edit: keep this thought in mind because I want you to remember that mass mailing you did to all those vets. One of them could potentially be the Vet that scans a little Yorkie, brought in to see them for the first time. Last edited by laurenr; 06-29-2007 at 09:55 PM.

| ![]() HI all I was thinking. Is Zeke regestered national?? I know when I took Kodi in the regester local and If you want it national you have to send in the paper work to get it. If he is only local I dont think it would show upif they took him away from the area. Maureen I sent you the contact info for the dog in Fremont. Let me know what you deside to do. I have to get off here . now the laptop battery is about dead. I'll check back in the morning. |
