Don't give up yet Maureen Honey. We are all here to hold your hand as long as you need us.
I have one more question for you. There must be a "Master List" in a computerized database, that a vet refers to, when a pet that has been scanned, reveals contact information that does not match the individual that brought the animal in. Ask your Vet about this Maureen. What is the normal procedure when a vet is confronted with a situation like this? Is it routine for them to contact the person listed in the scan if the info revealed therein, contradicts that of the present/new "owner"?
Just a new thought before I retire for the night. It has now become my habit to check here before I go to sleep. You never know what ideas occur to you at such a late hour.....

Edit: keep this thought in mind because I want you to remember that mass mailing you did to all those vets. One of them could potentially be the Vet that scans a little Yorkie, brought in to see them for the first time.
Yes I will ask... My Vet is open for a few hours tomorrow. That is a very good question I don't know the answer to that and I think we should find out. I will see what answers I can find tomorrow.
