| I have 4 females and 1 male. The male is actually the most loving of the bunch. He loves to give hugs. While most people want a female, I've always heard this about males. But.... I wouldn't trade my girls for all the money in the world! They're all great!!!!

| Both--GREAT Not really sure, but my opinion...my daughter has two yorkies, a boy and a girl. The boy is a mommy's baby and much more loving; the girl is a daddy's girl and independent! I have a girl and she was a mommy's girl for about a week and then I was pushed aside for daddy! Emmy loves her mommy, but the sun rises and sets on her daddy. She is pretty independent, too! I just went and picked out a boy, maybe he will be more impressed with his mommy!

| I've only had male dogs and all three have been lovers I read an article once that said a female would make the best pet for a male human while a male pet would make the best pet for a female human. Whatever you like I am sure will work for you. |

| Boy, can't say. I love both of mine differently, but the same. They are both awesome for different reasons. Both like to cuddle. Ginger is more needy about it (or demanding) than Bernie. Bernie is more laid back.

| Ya know, I don't think one is better than the other...My male is very loving and cuddly, has to be with me all the time. My female is more independent, but still very loving and cuddly. They're both very playful and sweet. I think you should just go for the particular yorkie that you fall in love with regardless of gender. If you're getting him/her neutered/spayed, then it probably won't make that much of a difference.

| This is what I've always heard: Females love you, but males are in love with you. Females think: "Love me love me love me!" Males think: "Love you love you love you!" Now, I have one of each and I find BOTH of these to be true. Granted, I wouldn't trade my female for anything in the world, but my male is just more loving and cuddley, was much easier to potty train, and is much better behaved. |

| I have one of each too. Carley is a daddy's girl, but when he is out of town, she is cuddly with me. Cooper is all Mommy's boy, but he is more ummm....I'm not sure how to explain it other than he is not as "easy" of a dog as Carley is. Carley is laid back, loves everyone and everything. Cooper is more afraid of things, and he will get mad at me (and only me) if I leave him. My husband is out of town alot and Cooper never holds it against him, thrilled to see him when he gets home, but if I leave, even for a few hours he can get mad at me and will ignore me and even growl at me for a bit afterward. Hubby says it's cause he loves me so much. I think though, this isn't because they are male or female, just their individual personalities. Cooper was timid when he was a baby and he still has lots of fear issues. Carley is afraid of nothing. Whichever one you get though, you will think that is the best one ever
