I have one of each too. Carley is a daddy's girl, but when he is out of town, she is cuddly with me. Cooper is all Mommy's boy, but he is more ummm....I'm not sure how to explain it other than he is not as "easy" of a dog as Carley is. Carley is laid back, loves everyone and everything. Cooper is more afraid of things, and he will get mad at me (and only me) if I leave him. My husband is out of town alot and Cooper never holds it against him, thrilled to see him when he gets home, but if I leave, even for a few hours he can get mad at me and will ignore me and even growl at me for a bit afterward. Hubby says it's cause he loves me so much. I think though, this isn't because they are male or female, just their individual personalities. Cooper was timid when he was a baby and he still has lots of fear issues. Carley is afraid of nothing. Whichever one you get though, you will think that is the best one ever
