I bet so many things went thru your mind and now knowing he was getting vet attention with people who maybe thought they had a new yorkie is SO much better than thinking about the 'what if's'

He's a lucky guy to be home again that's for sure

LOL Well he finally gave me a kiss when I said, "I love you, Nicky." I never noticed that he would kiss me when I told him I loved him but every time I say it today he kisses me. If I ask for a kiss I can't have one, blackmail to hear I love you, huh? LOL

You're right, they took him to the vet too quick. First and foremost, they should have tried to find the owner. I guess you can look at the vet costs as kind of like a reward for them finding Nicky, that might make you feel a little better.

Oh, you have no idea of the grotesque(sp?) images that were going thru my mind. There are many dead animals squashed on the freeway everyday. I dreaded leaving the house everytime we had to go out but I couldn't help but search the land as far as I could see on either side of the car.

I don't know how I would deal with not knowing what happened to him. Thank God, I don't have to.

As time passes and he is safe at home, it's not bothering me as much but at least all they are out is the gas and time it took them to do it.

I hate sounding so petty but it's not the way I would have done it.

I am so glad that he is back home!!!!! what i don't understand that they could obviously see that he was well taken care of etc...so why would they run to take him to the vet etc.??? They really didn't try hard to find who owned him!!!! They had plans on keeping him!!! But lets just take the blessing for what it is and be glad he is home!!!! on a side note....I don't know if I would have been so quick to reimburse them for the vet bill. that was something they took upon themselves and it wasn't even 48hrs since they found him??? Just my opinion!! Welcome home Nicky!!!!!!

My thots exactly. They took it on themselves. If they had him a week that would be different, that would be understandable. If I hadn't reached them by then I could understand them thinking that maybe no one was looking for him.

Still I have to be grateful that he is alive, and I am. I keep picking him up just to make sure he's really home. Sylvia

I too think it's odd that they rushed him to the vet but in the end you have your baby back and that's the important part! I'm always afraid of that very same thing with Zoe and these dogs are so tiny and adorable that I know there are some people who would just keep them and you'd never see them again! I don't even want to think about it but I'm glad you got your baby back!
