Nicky is home*****!!!!!! 3 Attachment(s) While we were out putting up flyers we ran across one that said, "Yorkie found north of Sawmill Rd." and a phone number. We are right there. Those people from what they said chased Nicky down on the frontage road and they were between him and home. When they found out where we lived they said, "that was why he kept trying to get around us." Idiots. On top of that, they had him ONE day and took him to the vet the next, yesterday. It cost us $178 to get him back. I would have cancelled the check but Glenn won't. It wasn't my fault that they chased my little dog down and took him to the vet. When Glenn was talking to them on the phone and I heard the amount it cost at the vet I was so afraid that he had been hit. I would have paid anything if he had been hit. They took him in and treated him like they had just bought him. All the shots, frontline, heartgard, everything. I was so angry. I let Glenn do it his way but there would have been a big blow up if they had cut his hair. They posted flyers with a bare minimum of information and far enough away from us that if we hadn't seen a flyer they could still have said, "We tried." They were very nice people and they took good care of my Nicky and I am grateful but DA**! They really wanted to keep him. When the lady brought him to the door he recognized us but he's not a real demonstrative dog. She felt him recognize us while he was in her arms. I had a flyer with his picture on it so that if they wanted to argue about it she could see he was my dog. She asked to see the picture of "Her" baby. I am very mixed over this, angry at the situation and yet grateful beyond words that Nicky was safe. I can't thank God enough that he was safe and secondary that he was returned to me. May God give each of you a special blessing for the prayers that brought my Nicky home. Sylvia Nicky................. Nicky................. My boys, Nicky is on the right. |
Ohhh wow!!!! I'm so happy you have him back!!! I know you are angry about the vet bill and I would be as well. But just be happy you have him safe and back in your arms!!!!! |
Oh My gosh! Im so so so pleased for you and that he is home safe with his mummy again unharmed. They were obviously intent on keeping him then..don't know why they didn't knock on a few doors and try and find out where the little guy had come from..well thats what i would have done anyway. So pleased you had a happy ending to all this. x |
I am so glad that Nicky is home safe and sound. :) I do think those people were going to keep him. :( Did Nicky allready have all his updated shots for this year already by you's? I'd be worried that such a little dog like Nicky, given another full set of shots would not be good for him. :( :aimeeyork But that was beyond your control. Give Nicky some extra hugs from us. :) |

Sigh, I am grateful to them that he was safe. He is laying on the floor between my feet right now. You wouldn't know he had a 2 day vacation from home. LOL |

Oh wow! That is a miracle! YT prayers always help. Hey, who wouldn't want to keep a yorkie?? :D Have to give them some credit for chasing him and making sure he doesn't cross the highway. |
Im so Happy to hear your babys home and is safe, Thats great news. |
I'm SOOOOOOO glad that Nicky is home safe! It's obvious those people were going to keep him. So, did he get a second set of shots by them? I'm just glad he's safe, but I don't blame you for being mad. |
I am so relieved that he's home safe with you! :D |

YAY !! I'm so glad he's safe and just be glad someone cared enough to take him to the vet...that's great news !! |
Thank God he is back with you!!! At least they took care of him. Like you said, you would have paid just about anything to get him back, so just be grateful he is in your arms again!! Give him a great big hug from YT!! |
Thank heavens he's home! Odd that those people took him to the vet, however, they might have thought he'd been missing for some time and needed to be checked out for injuries etc. Just giving them the benefit of the doubt, and trying to think of what I'd do if I found a runaway dog that looked like a purebred and not just a stray. Well, main thing is, he's home. What a relief to know he's safe. |
