| ![]() Papi, I know you have said many times that there is no way for you to thank everyone enough. You may have received the physical gift of a new puppy, a new best buddy, but the rest of us received something very special too. We have a new friend in you, a new little furball to watch grow up. We all know that Patticake will be very loved and very well taken care of. We also received another very special gift - the knowledge that we can make a positive difference in somone's life; the knowledge that there are good and loving people in this world. People who enjoy helping other people, without expecting anything in return. Too many times we see and hear about the bad things people do and the bad things that happen in life. I see it way too often, especially at work. It was really great to see so many people band together and do something good for someone else "just because". We all did what we did because we wanted to, not because we thought we had to. I think it is obvious to all of us how grateful you are. We are also grateful to you. Even though you didn't come to Yorkie Talk with the intention of bringing us all closer, I believe you really have done that. Okay, okay, I know I'm rambling. I guess what I'm trying to say is you don't need to worry about trying to thank everyone. The best thing you can do to show your appreciation is to continue love Patticake and of course continue to share her pictures and stories with us. ![]() I wish for you and Patticake many, many happy years of love, laughter and puppy kisses. ![]() Last edited by Sapphire; 06-08-2007 at 07:14 PM. |

| ![]() PS Do you think we should start a "fresh discussion" thread? Perhaps Papi could initiate it ie Papi and Patticake?

| ![]() OMG!!... Papi, I am at a total loss for words, because yours are just so overwhelming, so beautiful, so heartfelt...... you render me speechless. I was reduced to such a puddle of tears, I had to keep starting over as your tale of that Saturday kept causing my eyes to blur.( Can y'all just hear me hiccuping and laughing right now..) You write from your heart, from the very depths of your soul; your vivid descriptions make us feel that we were right there, in your shadow, unseen, but reveling with you, every joyous moment. Like everyone else here Papi, I was overjoyed to come here tonight and find your post. Please don't even think of stopping, we all wait with bated breath for the next installment. You see, it's the little details that we were all hungering for that day, as we dawdled in front of our computer screens, passing jokes back and forth, waiting, waiting for those exact moments you so thoughtfully provided us with now. Sweet Papi, how I wish right now that we were ALL gathered in Elaine's garden with you, watching your little Patticake padding after your footsteps, ready to explore a whole new world with you. Don't even consider for one moment that your posts are too long....... we all wait with bated breath for the next installment. Rest well tonight dear Papi, knowing that there is a whole, huge community here in Yorkie Talk, that love you, care about you, and we just want to lean over our respective fences (literally from around the world), and chat with you about your life, and your precious Patticake. With so much love, Lauren ![]() P.S. I wish that one morning, Mango and I could meet you for that cup of coffee. I would imagine you would have much to teach us. |

As the saying goes, when you get lost, sit back and enjoy the scenery. Recently added: Then get a GPS system for the next trip. Papi, I think you should think of writing as an avocation. Your writing execution and style have a high level of interest. I feel that no matter what life subject you chose to tackle, you would do a great job. Of course, you may only do that when Patticake is asleep. You may not take time away from your little princess. (as if you would want to) ... xxoo to you both, Debbie, Monday and Friday

| ![]() I can't describe how wonderfully happy your words have made me, Papi. To know that my little girl, Deucy's little girl is living with someone as precious as you. Your writing is unquestionably heartfelt in you, the writer and us, the readers. We await your next story and the next, and the next for as long as you and Patticake share eachother's company. ...May it be a VERY LONG TIME. THANK YOU!!! |

| ![]() Hi all... I've not really been able to offer anything to the involvement of getting Patticake to Papi... I'd very much like to contribute something... Yesterday I made the suggestion to Lauren that I'd be honoured to make a video montage of the Patticake story from start to finish... I'm hoping I can give the story as much justice as it deserves and hold the emotion of all in the story. I have some ideas already but would love to hear suggestions... I hope you all will allow me to do this...
