| Learn to love the carrier? I was at starbucks getting some cofee. when i saw this lady walk in with her yorkie in hand and also holding a carrier. she sat down and tried to lure the lil guy into the carrier, he refused. so she picked him up and put him in but BOY did he make a scene! he DID NOT want to be in there, she had to push his head and quickly zip it up and he was still barking and scratching! well anyways, i was wondering. how do you guys get ur dogs to enjoy their carriers? |

YT Addict | This worked for me At first I just left the door open and put her bed inside with a toy and an article of my clothing so she was familiar with the sent. She went right in layed down and I never have to close the door unless we are on a airplane. |

| You're talking about a 'bag' carrier, right? I left the carrier wide open in the living room on the floor and put a toy in it and Hoku hopped in and out whenever she wanted to. After she seemed used to it I'd wait till she was in and then I'd pick it up and carry her around the house. Eventually I zipped it up and went outside and she started looking forward to going out

| I never had a problem with Annika inside a carrier . . . . I just put her in there and she stays there . . . she'll do anything just so she can be by my side. Her everyday carrier is too small for her now so she has her head out the whole time but her Sherpa travel carrier (or should I say Tiger's ) is perfect and that is what I used when we travelled to MI . . .she loves to lay or sit and I leave the top always open. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was lucky both Cali and Pixie love being in their carrier and will go in if it's left out. You would never know they are in it they never maka a peep. Maya on the other hand hates it and barks the whole time.

| I just bought THE cutest carrier (shoulder strap style). Anyway, I bought it to match my new little chocolate Yorkie. Does she like it????? NO! Will she behave in there even with a flossie.....NO! However, I put my calm little Cowboy in there, and even though it was his first time, he was a perfect little angel!!!!!!!!! I LOVE that boy! I was visiting my sister and we were getting dinner ready. Her husband walked in and sat down next to the (attractive) carrier. I mentioned that my dog was in there and he really was pretty amazed. I think that out of my 4 Yorkies, 2 would accept it and 2 wouldn't. I bet you really have to bribe and take your time with the ones that don't just ACCEPT it. It is my two calmest ones that I'd bet on |

| With Keely I just put it on the floor put a blanket in there some treats and a toy and she just went in and out of as she wanted. Then once she went into it more I would walk with her around the house with it. I just got a new carrier the other day and she jumped right in it. She loved it. Now when I say time to go bye bye she jumps in her bag and is ready to go. It's so cute. She does it to me in the morning when I'm getting ready for work on the days she knows she's going to work with me.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I really tried with Teddy but he was NOT having it!! He hated being in bags and he still does. He even hates being carried on walks, he has to be walking all the time. London on the other hand LOVES to be in her carrier, and I have no problem with her, no treats or anything. So I guess it all depends on the dog.

| Miami has given up trying to enforce the "no dogs allowed" rule with little dogs in carriers. they almost never really care, and if they do, they just ask you to eat on the terrace |

| layla had to be forced in the first time... it was at home.. i put her in and just kept feeding her treats... and walking around.. now she goes in no problem.. she gets her treat... has a nap in there.. and then gets another one when she is out.. sometimes she demands a treat mid-trip by sticking her nose out the top so i just sneak her one and she quiets back down. i've never had her bark or cry in there in public.. i think i just got lucky! |

| Haruka goes in her celltei bag almost everyday. Because I bring her everywhere. She doesn't make any noises in the bag (most of the time). sometimes she makes noise trying to find the good position in the bag. So I go any shops, restaurants, most of the offices.. and nobody notice .... When I was in NYC, it was a little chilly. So I put her sweater.. then when I entered the restaurant, it was so warm. So I stepped outside and decided to take off her sweater. Then I put her on the ground for one second. She put her head into the carrier and slided herself inside... She loves her bag
