| My hubby was kinda the same way, he didn't want a small dog and has a love for labs. The minute I carried Jake in the house and he saw how adorable and cute he was, he took him and cuddled him. But, he wouldn't admit that he liked him for awhile. He babies him, plays with him, helps me spoil him.....he has been perfect for us. Congratulations on converting your hubby and on getting another yorkie! |

| They really do grab a hold of your heart You can tell my husband and I are a little smitten with yorkies, we have 5. My first one, Miko, was given to me as a kinda consolation prize from my husband. The story goes, my husband and I never had a honeymoon, so for our 10th anniversary we booked a week long vacation in Vegas, our flight was scheduled to leave 09.16.2001, well as you can tell by the date, the trip never happened. With 9/11, we cancelled our trip and my husband decided to buy me Miko. Since Miko, we have added 4 more to our family, although my husband does love these babies and would do anything for them, he does still want a Husky as an outside dog. |

I just don't understand why some men act like as they don't care or like small dogs... And then, after some time, these same macho men are all over our furbabies kissing, hugging and cuddling w/ them... ...LOL...My hubby sure made a fool of himself after all... The worst part is that he KNOWS that!!! LOL | |

| Hysterical! My hubby's kind of the same way. He very, very reluctantly allowed me to get Tucker because I had been feeling blue for a while and I had baby fever...BAD...and we're just not in a place where we can have kids right now. At first, it was , "He's your dog." Now he is all over Tucker, gets up with him in the wee hours of the morning, brags about him and greets him every day when he gets home with, "Where's my boy? Where is he? There he is...you're so cute I could eat you!" And all that even though Tucker's still working on the whole potty training thing and peeing and pooping everywhere. Aaahhh, you gotta love 'em!

| [QUOTE=Ashley V;1136180]The funny thing is - it was the complete opposite for us. Hubby wanted a yorkie and I didn't really care one way or the other. I happen to love all breeds, but I also have only been raised with big dogs.[QUOTE] Me too! I've had labs, goldens, aussies, and a shar pei. I was kind of wanting a newfoundland. I was looking at a little newfie puppy whose parents were 154 lbs and 130 lbs! Thats a far cry from my little Wobie, whose parents were 3 and 6 lbs! Lol, its funny the way things work out.

| My boy friend moved in with me, he said to me no dog is going to sleep on my pillow or i will never kiss a dog and talk baby to them, well it only took him a few days he brought my kaycee a pillow from home and loves my abbey so much that we practically fight for her attention, he calls her his baby girl in baby talk and yes kisses them to and lets them kiss him,so much for being macho, he stays at home with them while i work, he says thats there special time. he has had cancer and they found a couple spots on his lungs and kidneys, so i told him he could stay home until the doctors see if is cancer again, it really helps that he stays home with our babies. |
